Re: Lightweight touring rack | Tailfin? Other alternatives?

What type of bike do you use this on? What was the total spend for the rack and bag/s? If you have a photo of the setup, could you share it? I have a Tailfin Aeropack, though the aluminium version and a selection of their panniers bags. It is hands down the best investment I've made for my bike. I ...

Re: Lightweight touring rack | Tailfin? Other alternatives?

I have a Tailfin Aeropack, though the aluminium version and a selection of their panniers bags. It is hands down the best investment I've made for my bike. I use it daily for commuting, plus on trips throughout the year. And it's a doddle to swap between bikes.

I've just posted m Alpkit Elan on the classifieds page. Lightly used (3 nights), but I'm more of a tent person.

FS:Alpkit Elan hooped bivvy

Lightly used (3 nights a couple of years ago) Alpkit Elan. Turns out, bivvying is not for me, and I prefer a tent. In very good condition. £60 ono.

FS: Restrap Handlebar bag and harness

I'm selling my restrap handbag bag and harness. It's the small (14 litre) with the 1.5 litre food pouch that attaches to the front of the harness. Used only a handful of times, but due to my bike size, I can't use it to it's full capacity. £65 ono Photos on my cyclechat post since I'm on phone. Link...

Thanks for the tips. Very informative. Also, I wasn't looking for exact spots, just kind of a general "in between these areas there are a few spots that are good"

Sold: Wahoo Elemnt Bolt v1

Used Wahoo Elmnt Bolt v1. In good condition. Includes charging cable, stem mount, out front mount (after market as the original was on a bike that was stolen), and protective case. Screen protector fitted from new. Battery life still a good 9-10 hours on a single charge. Collection, local meet, or c...

East Devon Trail

I'm planning on riding the East Dwvon Trail with friends in May. We're planning on wild camping, which none of us have much experience with. Can anyone recommend some areas that might be suitable along the route for wild camping, as well as any tips or hints? We all have plenty of camping experience...

Wahoo Bolt v1

What's a fair price for a wahoo bolt v1 these days? I've treated myself to a v2, which should arrive in the next few days, so my v1 will be up for sale. It's in good nick, battery still lasts around 9-10 hours, has a silicone case and screen protector, a tuff love out front mount (original wahoo mou...

wtd: 650b tyres

I'm after some 650b gravel tyres in 45-47mm width. It's for a 700c 650b conversion experiment, so I'm not after anything too fancy. Just something with a bit of life left while I test out the wheels to make sure I have no issues before I go and spend £80-£100 on tyres.

I have a brand x dropper- it's great. I use a tailfin instead of a standard saddlebag and pack it in such a way that I have full use of it.

Not particularly fancy (i.e. just plain black) but lovely bloke to deal with, quick turnaround and costs the same as or less than an off the peg one. I think I was about £55 for a full frame one?
+1 on bike-bag. Mine has been brilliant

Re: Trial Period Saddles

Both these places do that saddle pressure mapping as part of the wider bike fit. Be prepared to dig deep though, not cheap. https://www.cyclefit.co.uk/ https://www.philburtinnovation.co.uk/ I think Retül based bike fits also do some sort of sit bone mapping, but it's on a tablet like device, rather...

27.2 is an odd seatpost size for a dropper , do ypu get many brands in that size.

How many folk use a 34 single ring set up for the HT550?
I have a 27.2mm dropper on my gravel bike. Weird size for a mountain bike...
