Re: Wildlife

A couple of years ago, I spotted a Pine Marten in the yard - I was right chuffed but shortly afterwards, forest operations began again and that was the last I saw of them UNTIL JUST NOW. Chuffed once more :-bd

Note, not the actual one.

Re: Like a lanshan 1 but cheaper?

It appears that the ebay link is simply for a mesh inner ... no outer mentioned from what I can see. (I know there's a picture but I believe that is simply to demonstrate what it may look like in place)

Re: Wildlife

Who won ? Not sure. Seemed to be a number of small skirmishes rather than an all out assault ... at one point I was expecting a second squirrel to appear giving it 'leave it Frank, he's not worth it' etc. Unfortunately I don't see anywhere near as many swallows, swifts and martins these days...

Re: selling all and getting a cheating bike.

{I have no issue with e-bikes or people with them} .... but I do know what you mean to a degree Tony. I have a feeling that the e-bike has taken something highly efficient and very 'green' and turned it into something much less, so despite all the clever tech' it kind of feels like a backwards step....

I thought rove was a typo for a rave and then thought it was a bit drastic to take a bow with you…
I don't know, I reckon I could amuse myself for hours at most raves, concerts or festivals

Re: Yay, it's cheery Friday.

There was a rove on this morning near Church Stretton but I was in two minds whether or not to attend. Anyway, I decided to and opted to take a 90lb bow. That was something of an odd choice given that (a) I'd usually shoot something around 65lb at such a shoot and (b) I still have ongoing RSI in my ...

Re: Ortlieb vs Alpkit

If there is a way to take with me I will do it and learn how to implement it into my gear.
Out of interest, do you have a job lined up for it (I appreciate it's likely to be charging / powering things) but I wondered what?*

Have you got some pictures?
No sorry but do you mean a picture of a bag strapped on top? I'm meaning a pretty simple affair using a standard dry bag of an appropriate size ad a couple of straps.

Re: RWGPS fill in the map challange.

nimbyism is not a nice thing. in the grand scheme does it really matter ? Does to me Tony. Some of my favourite spots are pretty 'delicate' and will only stand a limited number of uses / visitors and maybe I'm just a miserable b'tard but I'd hate to arrive at one and find another half dozen folk pi...

Is it possible to have saddle bag and rear rack one at the same time?
I've seen it done, although, maybe a bag strapped to the top of the rack would be better?
