Re: Where Can I Buy a Sew-On Hydration Port?

I've never seen such a thing but fabbing something from a piece of Hypalon shouldn't be too difficult ... reckon I'd start by cutting a small cross in the centre of a piece and passing the tube through the resulting 'cat's bum' :-bd

I think it kind of depends where in the UK you're riding. I recall Sean having a 'special' mid-Wales ratio

White Lion in Mach' might be worth trying. Perhaps the liveliest pub in Mach and does B&B.

That looks alright generally. Certainly nothing 'nasty' in there.

Food wise, stock up when and where you can - you'll hit very little between towns.

I'll be there doing talks / workshops. The venue is bang on the side of the Monsal trail which while not exciting in itself is a reasonable corridor from which to explore.

Any good for gravel bikes?
I'm sure there's some bits that'd be well suited but the BB200 / 300 is never a 'gravel' route.

both at the nipple,
Are your spokes black? I know many dismiss it but I've only ever broken black spokes despite silver spokes outnumbering black by some considerable margin.

32 BTW and you won't be looking at your wheels while riding so you can discount the aesthetics.

Quite 'lumpy'.

Obviously the BB200 always tends to include quite a bit of climbing but no matter what, it won't be as bad as this ... because this is the 2021 BB300. :-bd

Having just looked at the Alpkit ones, I'd say they would likely perform better than mine as they're noticeably higher.

Re: Trail Gaiters

That's disappointing. I was hoping these would be some sort of silver bullet, highly breathable, totally waterproof and stop everything...
Mine are more of a softshell material with a knitted cuff, so quite breathable but far from totally waterproof.

I've got some Innov8 ones but I find that they don't really do that much good - somehow stuff still finds its way inside.

Oh no, there's a post about it somewhere. I recall people might have questioned how / why it was the gravel 'championships' without a governing body.
