Anyone got any vague idea just how long it might take to ride from mid Wales to Sussex ... I know it all depends on many factors hence the vague bit.
Also, any ideas about possible routes that might be worth considering?

PSA: Wild Country tents.
Might be of interest to someone if you're in the market for a quality solo tent. From what I can tell it's a new model so I don't know much about it ... doesn't look a million miles away from certain TN offerings.

Lets Pretend ... Dream Kit.
I know I'm not alone when it comes to lusting after certain bits of kit, many of which won't ever become a reality as the cost can't easily/really be justified ... no matter how hard you try ;) A few items that fit in to this catogary at present would be a, Crux Torpedo sleeping bag, a BearPaw desig...

Re: Carbon Poles
Someting along the same lines as the bivvy above. This one offers a touch more room but is a little heavier at 290g as it comes with an Easton pole ... cheaper though at around £44.

Re: any one based in Essex or East anglia for info
My experience of sleeping on the beach involved a large number of biting/stinging things ... no sign of them until the lights went out then they arrived in droves

Just thought, if you were to use aluminium then have a search for Hampton pole kits, I think ultralight outdoor gear might do them.

Erm ... I'm thinking there's nothing in this mid-life crisis thing. The average age at the moment is 39.3, doesn't really scream mid-life to me

Sleeping bag liners ... on the outside.
Does anyone do this? I find my thermal liner gets tangled up and sometimes tries to strangle me in the night. so, I figured if it was on the outside, the chances of that happening would be less and it would (might) protect the outside of my bag from condensation.
Stupid idea or might work?

Your last or next purchase?
*So what was the last bit of kit you bought or have you got your eye on something at the moment? I always seem to have a big list of possible 'next buys' floating around in my head, really must stop it ... I'm sure it can't be good for you.

How old are you?
I've heard it said a few times that bikepacking/bivvying is a something you do as part of a mid-life crisis. For me it's something I've always done, I see it as a pretty normal part of riding. So, how old is everyone? ... perhaps there might be some truth in the theory ;) Me ... a rather young looki...

Weather looks great ... anyone out?
In contrast to last weekend the weather this weekend looks set to be warm and dry. So, has anyone got any plans for a sub 24 hour trip or is it working/shopping/DIY for everyone?

I believe they do deliver ... on certain products. It tends to say on the item whether they'll deliver it or if it's in store only.
