Re: Bar roll ‘extras’ bag

Well, the Acepac is very secure when attached to the Acepac harness. As you'd expect.

Re: Bar roll ‘extras’ bag

Charlie, the link isn't working for me but I think I have the same one that clips on to the acepac bar harness. I've also used it in its own strapped to bars. It comes with a strap, so I also used it as a man bag when taking the kids an all day gig where a back pack would be too big. Handy to have t...

Re: Fat Fighters '24. The year for deflation!

20/1 - 77.8kg .... 19/4 - 75.8kg 27/4 - 74.9kg 4/5 - 74.6kg 11/5 - 74.9kg 18/5 - 74.4kg 6/7 - 76.6kg...despite this being an increase I'm ok with this. Over the last week I've had 2 good bike rides and a 5km yesterday and no flare up from my sore knee. I was aware of it but no pain. Hopefully, it's ...

Re: Recommend a waterproof jacket

Patagonia Torrentshell jacket turned up today. Pretty happy with it. Size is good and fits well, with or without a insulated jacket underneath. Decent quality. I've bought a Tog24 waterproof for off the bike recently and it's more flexible and packable than that or the Madison. Colour is not what I ...

Re: Recommend a waterproof jacket

Fair enough to Madison and their repairer. Jacket has turned up and looks great only 3 days after I sent it away. A black instead of green zip but no issue there. Not to good to begin but made amends.

Cheers, Shaf. For that price it seems like a no brainer to at least give it a go. Ordered.

Re: Recommend a waterproof jacket

Thanks again, another couple to consider. I too bought a Fjern down jacket and I'm really happy with it. I would consider a waterproof from them too. They seem to have upped their prices though. I've just received an email from DPD to say that the repairer that Madison use are returning the jacket a...

Re: Recommend a waterproof jacket

Cheers, both. Had a look at both options and both worth considering. Guess I'd prefer something a bit more heavy duty, so maybe the Patagonia has the edge. I'll do a bit more research. Madison jacket has been returned but doubt I'll get it back in time now. My Scotland trip has been put off till Aug...

Re: Anybody bumped this farmer?

I searched earlier on whether the charity ride was a thing and got distracted by a farmer forum where it was discussed. They were pretty cutting of the farmer doing the sprayer and quite a few wanted him prosecuted. Vast majority came down on the side of the camper and a lot were advocating for allo...

Re: Recommend a waterproof jacket

Thanks for the replies. Didn't realise Alpkit did repairs on other brands and would've been great except it's £65 and a new Roam is about the same price. Madison have got back to me after I sent a stroppy email (don't feel good about it, but needs must sometimes) and I can now return it to them. Of ...

Recommend a waterproof jacket

I've had a Madison Roam jacket for a couple of years that I've really liked and which has worked really well until the zip went 2 months ago. On contacting them re. a repair, they said they'd cover it under the warranty but since then, despite emailing and phoning them, they won't return emails. I d...

Re: Anybody bumped this farmer?

Ok, the camper might have been a d*ck (but maybe not) the farmer is, imo, definitely a d*ck and this was brought to you by The Sun. Quite possibly the most toxic bunch of d*cks around. 15m views and, I'd imagine, a lot cheering the farmer. Makes our wild camps more difficult.

My Daughter has booked two in a row at an extortionate price. Doesn't care, she'll have blast. For me, Taylor Swift, like M'Bop by Hanson = guilty pleasure . Note to Reg...whenever Amyl & The Sniffers has come on the radio recently, I think of you. What's that about? I don't even know you. It's ...

Cheery here too. Knee on the mend. Both eldest kids have finished their A-levels and now have a summer of fun and trips ahead starting with Amsterdam on Monday. I'm pretty jealous. I think they're sensible to cope with a trip over there. :???: Youngest awaiting the hatching of chicks she has in an i...

Re: Fat Fighters '24. The year for deflation!

After having a couple of weeks off and with my knee feeling better, had a light, short jog today. Weighed in at 76kg which is was it is. Knee did flare up a bit on the way back so walked the rest of the way. Plan to take it easy over next few weeks. I have a trip to Scotland in the next month, so tr...

Re: Fat Fighters '24. The year for deflation!

I've now got a sore knee that's stopping me running. I did a ride instead last week and that also aggravated it. Now having a couple of weeks rest to see if it clears. Hopefully, be back in it soon

I have to admit, I've been comfort eating as a result. I might be like Richard and comfort drink too.
