Re: Bivvy a Month 2024
So managed to get out for a fairly local one last night. As usual left later than I wanted but got to my spot, about 8 miles from home, quicker than I thought I would. Passed a couple of deer who kept an eye on me until I passed. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/AP1GczPzXc8gpjtmucfTVH8F4pWvHc11N...

Re: Bivvy a Month 2024
Cheers, Pete. I am glad I did it and just need to keep it going. I have a few longer distance trips planned with a trip to Scotland too, so I'm hoping that'll give me some momentum. The number of times I've woken up with a start thinking someone is shinning a torch in my face only to realise the clo...

You obviously need to give it a good rest and pretty much ignore the weigh ins for now. No point in beating yourself up about it.

Also didn't weigh this week. Had most of the week off and spent a few days eating deep fried battered haggis with wild abandon. I knew what the outcome was going to be. We go again from tomorrow.

I'm planning the same thing. Pick an appealing gig in Amsterdam, head to Harwich, cycle to Amsterdam, have a couple of days cycling around the city, see the sites, see the gig and cycle back to the ferry. Don't know when it'll be, but hopefully this year

Fitted new mudguards to my Tempest. Made a pigs ear of it to begin with but managed to fix it. Just need to trim stays and check it over.

Posted via the LBS...a set of SKS Bluemels mudguards that have been on order for about 3 months. Finally arrived.
Also picked up a new set of schwalbe tyres to fit to a 2nd hand Islabike I've bought for my daughter. Yet to pick it up but I'll be able to pimp it up before she gets it.

Good suggestion, Phil. I keep meaning to sort out a base for mine but never got round to it. That's an easy to sort solution.
