Used once Restrap 14lt saddle bag with dry bag
Hi
I used this once on Tuesday for an overnight, so it's in brand new condition.
cost £120
Selling for £70, I will post if you pay the cost of postage.
Nothing wrong with it and it worked brilliantly but | wanted a tailfin so I bought that instead.

Re: Advice on Filtering water
I was in Dumfries and Galloway, I had to cut the trip short as I had a midge nightmare. Due to a whole set of hilarious circumstances, I left home late, left the car park late, had a Garmin nightmare, camped where I didn't really want to but it was going dark, hadn't pitched the tent before ( I know...

Garmin In Reach or other PLB
Any advice regarding carrying one of these devices?
I tend to lean towards having one, better to have one and never need it than to need it and not have one.
Any advice on which type, experience with them etc always appreciated

Straps to fasten oversize bottles
Hi,
Can anyone point me in the right direction to acquire the rubber straps for attaching oversize bottles etc, I want to take a Klean Kanteen bottle slung under the down tube and want some extra security to hold it in place.
Cheers in advance

Rear light with seat stay mount
Hi All,
Can anyone recommend a good rear light that can be mounted on the seat stay?
I will be using a tail pack and I can attach one there but two is one and one is none, is my mantra.
Cheers

Decent lock for bikepacking
Hi All, Can anyone recommend a good lightweight lock for use when bikepacking? locking outside a shop etc when popping in to buy stuff. Also, insurance, does anyone recommend it, I totally get it but most insurers require sold secure or Thatcham gold etc which are way too heavy to carry when bikepac...

Re: Advice Please
Ah ok. There's a little pay and display National Park car park in Alwinton. It says no overnight parking, but I usually take the view that's to deter campers, and what are they going to do if you're not there? It's a very reasonable £2/day so you could stick a couple of tickets in the windscreen an...

Re: Advice Please
I'm a bit confused about the reference to Alwinton (there's just one and it's in Northumberland) along with talk of a trip across Arran. I may not be the brightest pebble on the beach but they aren't exactly close in geographic terms. :| No True, I should be more specific, new to bikepacking and I ...

Re: Advice Please
Apologies if I'm coming across as a know all but aren't feather allergies very rare and it's the dust mites associated which with a new down bag in nylon is a low risk? In any case, to answer your question, I have a Mountain Hardware Lamina that's brilliant and I was previously a down bag advocate....

Re: Advice Please
Have you plans for coming to tayinloan as there ain’t much there and probably nicer places to take the MTB from the ferry. Cal Mac have a habit of cancelling the wee ferry if needed somewhere else so might be a good idea to have a fall back plan. There’s lots of stream on steam depending on route b...

Re: Pinion Gearbox???
Thanks All, My knees are minus half the meniscus, plus I can't be described as a snipers nightmare. The extra gear range, lack of maintenance on the trail and removing potential chain and derailleur issues all appeal. If it lasts as long as they claim cost over time probably evens out a little. Not ...

Pinion Gearbox???
Hi All,
I am considering a bike with a Pinion 12 speed box and Gates carbon belt for my bikepacking bike, anyone used a Pinion?
Any thoughts, experience, comments welcomed?
Or should I save the £1200 and get a normal 1x12 set up
cheers

2 TO 3 DAY LOOP IN Scotland First bikepacking trip
Hi I would like to do my first bikepacking trip, Scotland with a 2-3 night wild camp/bothy experience. I have ridden MTB for years but I am just returning to health after being frankly obese, I'm still heavy but surprisingly can outclimb my MTB mates 7 stones lighter than me. Any advice on routes et...

Re: Fatfighters 2020
Thought I’d chime in on this one.
I started daily fasting, fast 20 hrs eat in a 4 hr window, since August 5th 20 lost two and a half stone. Riding more regularly now but most of the weight came off due to the fasting.
I find it quite easy to stick to as you don’t really need to restrict anything.
