Re: Recommendations for a bike rack?

We use the Thule roof bars and Proride racks on the roof of our Caddy van when we dont have enough space inside. It does zap the mpg over a long journey but as mentioned above its a great place to leave the bikes locked when sleeping in the van, or if your not riding for a day  https://lh3.goog...

We need these everywhere! One loaded bike usually takes up 3 bike 'spaces' on our local trains.

Tandem spaces too!! :o

WTD: Parts for 26" Pack Rat Commuter Build

Hi All, I'm building a Surly Pack Rat as a commuter and weekend railtrail/towpath bike for my sister. I'm after a set of resonable 26" rim brake wheels, drive train and v or canti brakes. Anything considered. It might also be easier to find a suitable doner bike and do a frame switch...... Does...

Thanks for the replies all!

Yep, I am now also convinced its a micro leak misting some mineral oil into the pads/rotor......new caliper time

I did also try sintered and organic pads and both had the same result.

Brake Squeal!

Hi All, I've been battling to try an resolve some brake squealing on the rear brake of my Krampus. Running Shimano Deore, SLX rotors and some nukeproof organic pads. I've followed some advice on line and sanded and cleaned up the rotor properly and installed fresh pads. Bedded them in properly and a...

WTD: Handlebar Bag

Hi All,

What's anyone got in the way of handlebar bags that they are no longer using? Around the 10 -15l mark would be ideal.

Many Thanks,

Mine arrived today, an Aeronaut 1. I've been looking forward to this new tent from @alpkit for awhile, and it arrived today. The Aeronaut 1 pictured has an inflatable pole as its main support. With a Topeak mini pump, it took 3.5 minutes to inflate. It was quite windy this afternoon so I experiment...

I switched from winter single speed mode to gears on my Krampus for some upcoming loaded trips.

It's way more fun to ride single speed.....but it is relatively flat around here.
