Re: Wanted: Sram Force calipers

Eh up!

I don't think I've got force, but I do think I've got some RED post mounts knocking about. I know this is an older post (always like to browse classifieds just in case!) do you want me to dig them out?

Re: Aero/Tri Bar Light Mounts

What's the mount (the red bit) that you have the Revo on? I'm assuming that's the bracket that Duncan's made (3d printed?) Neil. A question abour aerobars generally. I've tried them in the distant past but always felt the pads were too close together meaning I had to tuck my elbows right in to my s...

Re: TT bars on flat mountain bar

You need an aero bridge , or some other universal computer mount type thing... Marvellous work! These were the terms that seemed to be evading me. I’m going to do some measuring today but this aero bridge seems to be suitable - https://fawkes-cycles.co.uk/profile-design-ucm-aerobridge-p15152/s30262...

TT bars on flat mountain bar

Hello! I’m hoping someone can help me find the simple solution that seems to be fluttering somewhere outside of where I can find it. I’ve got a long distance bicycle I’m building up and I’m struggling to find a way in which I can put my TT bars on my flat MTB bars as well as finding a spot for my Ex...

WTD: rigid(ish) plus tyre mtb Medium

Hello! Eyes are currently peeled for a rigid or short travel fellow for long distance romance. I don't want to spend loads. I'd prefer something with 29+ wheels, but can source the actual wheels myself as long as clearance exists. The more higgledy the better as far as I'm concerned, I have kit I ca...

Re: Wildcat Ocelot R frame bag

Pardon for interfering but the title says Ocelot-R and the link is to Ocelot. The R is narrower - 55mm not 85mm. I have the 85mm one and it's excellent. I can get my 550ml cookset in on its side which is perfect. Well spotted! Is indeed the R - have email confirmation of order. Will check with the ...

Wildcat Ocelot R frame bag

Annoyingly just too long for my frame so it bunches and rubs me knees. Thought I’d get away with it but after a few 6 hour plus rides and some sore inner thighs I have to accept defeat. It’s this one in large; https://wildcat.cc/collections/frame-bags/products/ocelot-r-frame-bag £75 posted and payme...

Kona Unit X 2021 Medium *SOLD*

Heyup! For sale is my lovely 2021 Kona Unit X. A bit gutted to let it go but I’m using a carbon lightweight gravel bike for all my bikepacking trips so this machine isn’t getting much of a look in and really needs someone to rag it to within an inch of its life. Great condition with just a small spo...

Re: FS: Crankbrothers Highline 3 170mm 31.6

Having checked, The highline3 I have in my fatbike which has a really low stand over is actually 150mm of travel, it does have ample post above the seatclamp to take a 170mm one but 150 isn’t going to be enough for you to swap. My monstercross has the 120mm v1 high line in it but that’s right up ag...

RE: getting another Mac. We're kind of loathe too even though we're pretty invested (Phones, iPads, watches, laptop). The Macbook stills serves admirably for photo editing which we do semi-regularly and we like the portability. But there have been times where we have tried to do something or had a c...

Re: Man Down!

Thanks for all the sympathy! It was, by all accounts, a freak accident with the mixture of sure footed traction under the offending foot and the lack of traction on the tyres. I too have had a few sweary moments with pedals to the shin but this was something else! I could see the yellow of my fat qu...

Man Down!

Went for a sunday afternoon Bimble last weekend following a hard day (within covid standards!) of riding the new gravel bike last saturday. As is often the case with these things, I lost the rear end on a section of trail I've ridden a thousand times, planted the inside foot as I've done a thousand ...

Building a PC

Are any of you familiar with such an endeavor? I've not had need for a PC in some time and Mrs MythSte has a Macbook which is ~6 years old that is no longer serving our new requirements. Our new requirements are mainly video and photo editing. She's a teacher and has had something of a following dev...

Re: Shimano Stock Levels

Yep! Difficult to get a full groupset or even, cassette, shifter and derailleur from the same place that isn’t 12 speed. I wonder if that's partly down to 12spd being relatively new (in Shimano terms) and with the shenanigans in the last year people haven't upgraded their bikes so are still on 10 &...

Re: Shimano Stock Levels

As the co-owner of a small bike business I have a little insider info that is (depending on who you ask) quite interesting. Obviously demand went through the roof last year and everything is out of stock at the moment but we also saw a huge surge in demand for gravel groupsets. Shimano appear to hav...

I wasn’t too bad! Soft tussocks with a thick mat (exped synmat 7.5) made for pretty nice kip!
