Re: Dynamo hub question
Maybe they are 100mm. I've always been led to believe they're 110mm, but never actually measured them. When the air temperature outside drops below 'blast furnace' I'll pop out and have a look. I think if it meant a new set of forks, I might reconsider my options. Nope; definately 110x20. but not B...

Re: Dynamo hub question
I don't think the SON hubs take adapters, they make a different hub for boost and non-boost. I've never seen a 20mm dynamo hub. The 110x20 standard is quite old now and was before the dyno thing became popular for bikepacking and mtb. The last 20mm forks I had were a long time ago in the 26" w...

OK, Thanks everone.
So am I right in thinking that the SON hubs take adapters?
I think I might just drop them a line & ask.

Dynamo hub question
Does anyone know if there is a dynamo hub available which fits a 110x20 through axle? I have a pair of Rock Shox Revelation Dual Air forks with a 20mm through axle. Try as I might, I can't find a dynamo hub that would fit this standard and I don't really want to change the forks if I don't have to a...

Re: So you want bottle cage bosses eh?
I love my Solaris. It's the best riding hardtail mountain bike I've ever had, and I've owned my fair share over the years. I've just fitted some loop bars to mine & I've go to say that I'm really please with how they feel. I'm not sure about all the bottle bosses on the new one, I don't think yo...

Re: Weird gear indexing issue
Do you have a bit of something trapped in the cassette? When you say 10 & 9 are we talking the big cogs? I find that the big (low) end of the cassette tends to be th most sensitive to mis-adjustment. I think it is because the step between the individual cog diameters tends to be bigger, so there...

As a fellow Escapade owner: could you not just trade in the other half?
In all seriousness; they are fantastic bikes, not sure I could part with mine. Who ever buys it will not be sorry.

Re: Are 26ers dead and whats the new 'economical' persons standard
I only made the move away from 26" wheels about 4-5 years ago when I bought the Solaris. I've got 8 fully built up 26" wheeled mountain bikes of vaying ages from the mid '80s up to the early 2000s that I've restored & built up over the years & they all still get used to varying deg...

I love my Cotic Escapade.
It's great on tarmac, I've done London-Edinburgh on mine with 35c Conti's fitted. It's currently running 42c, has mudgard & rack mounts & can be had as a frame only, or with several build options.

FItted some loop bars to my Cotic Solaris.
Can't believe I've not done this before now. Still undesided as to whether to change the grips to something longer? I do love the Rental grips, but they limit the posible hand positions.

Re: Hope Evo Pro 2 Freehub Question.
Up to 10 speed for certain using that freehub. I have Evo 2s on one of my bikes & that's running 10 speed Shimano. I'm not sure if the 11 speed hub fitted to the Evo4 will fit. Having said that; I had to use the spacer on my Evo 4 with a Shimano/Sram 11 speed cassette, so you may be able to fit ...

Jesus! Hope you have a speedy recovery, that sounds particularly nasty.
Is the track a right of way?
If it is I'd speak to a solicitor as that may well be in breach of health & safety.

Re: Which bike lock
I like that idea
I know a light weight lock isn't going to stop someone who really wants your bike, but I'd be interested tohear what folks use.
I do a lot of solo rides so I'm just thinking of something light weight which would allow me to pop into a shop etc.
