Re: Ribble Adventure: Any Real World Reviews or Action Pics?

I have a Briken Road with prong forks, I just spaced it that way, I bought the forks and took them up on build day. It rides excellently and is comfy for the long haul, I've only had it since September but have done a few trips on it. I tested one from Hatersage, costs £40 but they take it off the ...

Re: Ribble Adventure: Any Real World Reviews or Action Pics?

I'd love to give you an opinion but after 12 months, I'm still waiting for one to test / review but I will say that having seen the same pictures as everyone else ... they look pretty  I'm waiting almost as impatiently as you, I wish they'd get their fingers out and just send you a bike. I'd ...

Ribble Adventure: Any Real World Reviews or Action Pics?

Has anyone on here got a Ribble Adventure, either the 725 or Ti Version? I'm seriously thinking about getting a shiny new bike, and I've got my eye on either the Ribble Adventure or a Sonder Broken Road. There's lots of information and reviews on the Broken Road, which everyone seems to love, but th...

Re: New shelter time!

They're great shelters, I love mine. Mine's the light green version though, the camo looks much better imho. It might be a bit darker inside too, I have to put something over my eyes because I don't like being woken up too early by daylight.

Re: Hammock underquilt advise please

A mat will be fine to get you started, but use as wide a mat as possible, or extend it with ''wings'' cut off another CCF mat. I've used underquilts for years now, but I started off using a mat. The only problems I found was that you're more likely to get a cold spot under you or on your side due to...

Re: Tubeless rim tape

I used 25mm Gorilla tape on my non tubeless 7ooC rims last week. I had to mess about a bit because the rims and tyres weren't a very good match, but I don't think that it was anything to do with the tape.

Re: Tubeless Woes Followed by Tubeless Success

I tried fitting a tube last night, but didn't leave it very long. I've just fitted the wheels to the bike, and being lazy I deflated the tyre rather than removing a brake pad from the rear V brake. This broke the seal, so I had to go through the process again with the tyre lever. It looks like I'll ...

Tubeless Woes Followed by Tubeless Success

Over the last few weeks I've been adapting my old hybrid into something a little beefier and more comfortable. I've changed the stem and added Jones bars, changed all the cables, brake levers and rear shifter and fitted 40mm Schwalbe Land Cruisers. After a couple of rides i changed the SPDs for flat...

Re: What do you ride in?

I use the standard length Endura Humvee shorts. I like the liner, apart from the latex grip strip on the thighs, but it sounds like the pad will be too thick for you. The pockets are really good though, I like to keep my wallet and house key on my person.

Re: A serious question

People like you make me sick. I've been cycling a lot more lately too, and all it does is make me hungrier. If I got one of the more serious diseases I'd probably get the type where you put on weight. I'll have no volunteers to be a pall bearer at my funeral. It sounds like a perfect excuse to hit t...

Re: Numb feet after riding

I changed to flats after getting numb and whilst researching this, and I'm going to stick with them. Now that I've switched to flats and fitted Jones bars, I'm really enjoying cycling again. No more numb feet or hands, just getting out and enjoying myself. Many of us cyclists can get a little (or a ...

Re: No Good Deed Goes Unpunished.

:)) That reminds me of when my one armed mate got stuck in a ditch. He was in northern Scotland and he and his friends persuaded a taxi driver to take five of them home from the pub. Their argument was that there's never any police about to spot an overloaded taxi. Ten minutes later they pass a poli...

Re: What you done t' your bike today

I've finally got the Jones bars finished on my hybrid. The micro shift levers arrived today and I've wrapped the top of the bars around the TOGs. I had time to do the same on my mountain bike with the Jones bars that arrived this afternoon from Fatpacker (thanks for the quick postage dude), and I'm ...

That's just complicating things. Are they tangled or untangled, tied or untied?
Alpkit might have a range though.

If I ever see a brand call a range of clothing or equipment ''quantum'', I'll direct them to your link.

Ahh, trouble with those locks is that you can't use proper thin line ... there's a knock-on effect to consider here people  I had some really thin line on my hammock tarp that I replaced after finding it to be a massive pita to remove knots in it, even on a pleasant evening with a lake view. ...
