Re: 2025 - A year to look forward to? What are your plans?

Other than trying to stay sane, I appear to have inadvertently picked up vintage audio as a new special interest. Just accidentality won some Kef Reference 105.1 speakers on eBay, so once the divorce has happened, I'll be turning the current living room into a vinyl listening room. Don't suppose an...

1) Favourite outing (not necessarily by bike) Have not done much this year, see point four. Sunday on the WRT was pretty good though, especially waking up to the temperature inversion. Also the morning on my October BAM was pretty glorious too. 2) Favourite piece of kit of 2024 Didn't buy much kit,...

Cocked it again. Am primary on-call again, for the second time this month, plus I'm home alone with daughter this weekend. So no chance of getting out and getting my November BaM in, unless I resort to the nonsense roller BaM joke effort. *sighs*

Mountaineering books

Got a hankering to read some mountaineering books. I've read all of Joe Simpson's stuff, done all the Bonnigton and Messner expedition reports from the 70's, Into Thin Air, A Short Walk in the Hindu Kush etc.

Anyone got any recommendations...?

Re: (Winter) bib tights....over bib shorts?!!

In winter I generally wear my normal bib shorts under a pair of Endura Pro SL bib tights, that don't have a shammy. If it's really cold, then my Roubaix bib shorts go under. It can feel cumbersome at times, especially with all the shoulder straps, but then knee warmers generally either pull up, or f...
