Re: PODSACS? Any good?
care to elaborate? Lots of people have different experiences with Planet X / On-One. Either everything is smooth, with no troubles, or it's a complete 🤬 show of ultra 🤬 customer service. Plus they, on what can feel like a daily basis, change the prices, mostly upwards just before they then have a s...

Are the stations manned? How many trains per day and does the train carry bikes if so how many? Are there restricted times when no bikes allowed? How far in advance would you need to book the bike and how? 👆 Mostly this. Having said that... I'm doing that Frontier 300, which is a coast-to-coast, I'...

Decided to head out and try and locate the Wicken Fen Back to Basics camping spot that I missed on Friday nights bivvy. Rather than going through the stile and then following the drain, which leads to the site, I ended up heading off across the field to the right, following a RoW footpath. http://m...

Re: Dual bottle cage mounts
It's not much of an issue for one of the events, as I can put all my tools, and what not, in a saddle bag; so the main triangle will be free for bigger bottles. The other event I'll have a full bikepacking setup, so I'll need something to help me carry more liquid regardless. I might buy one of the ...

With my Restrap half frame bag, I can only carry one large water bottle on my frame. While I can squeeze a small one under the bag, but as I found out on Friday evening, it's a bit of a fight to get it in when the frame bag is full. I'm doing a couple of events this year that stipulate the ability t...

While out on the bike last week, I picked up three rear wheel punctures and this cut to my front tyre: http://media.bobarnott.com/gravel/2020-01-23-front-tyre.jpeg Even with two patches on the inside, the inner tube is still causing a bulge. So I thought I might attempt to repair it with a needle an...

Or the Danube Cycleway, deffo good beer to be had. https://www.danube-cycle-path.com/ That looks good, and reminded me of EuroVelo 13 , the Iron Curtain Trail , it is 9,950km long though. Re: Bivvy a month 2020.
At 22:10 on Friday night, I rolled out of the driveway and into the unknown. Thirteen hours twenty six minutes later, after one hundred and two kilometres , I rolled back up the driveway after my first bikepacking bivvy adventure. I've written a blog about it -> January BaM . Here's a condensed vers...

On more of a BAM Buddies vibe, the Icknield Way riders route is about half a mile from the village, if anyone riding it needs a comfort break / service centre / night in the shed.

Re: Todays ride
Some tougher, more 'gravel' oriented tyres will help. These 32mm road tyres were to keep my 40mm gravel tyres good for when it dries out! Turns out that it was actually a second puncture on the rear, which I discovered when putting the inner tube into the sink. Fixed all the punctures and henria's ...

I have Tektro cable disc brakes that came off my Calibre Dune that you can have. In fact, I've pretty much got everything that came off it, stem, bars, seatpost saddle, etc. If it fits, you're welcome to it all. I'll have to have a dig around in the shed to get it all out and take photos for you etc...
