Re: Todays ride
Very enjoyable day out on the bike yesterday, a kind of a "back to it" Audax ride. It was the White Horses 200, lovely route from Bristol on the Bristol to Bath cycle route, then the Two Tunnels Greenway, which was good fun, over towards Marlborough via several, yep you guessed it, white h...

Re: Todays ride
Weekend in the black mountains and Hay. Very enjoyable riding, pretty wet and boggy in places, especially bridleways in the valleys, but they were still good fun. First long rides on 'proper' terrain with the Cotic and it was very good, made any descending lots of fun, and coped admirably with all ...

Re: Bivvy a Month 2024
Now let's see how much of a story I can spin out of a bivvy so local it would tbh have been just as quick to have walked rather than cycled it  Our Reg had announced that he would be visiting these here parts for a few days in October, and invited himself round for a cuppa, a few beers and biv...

Stereophonics (right now, Dakota) In Swansea, while daughter is having a lesson on a bigger motorbike. Last night, same daughter practicing on her bass guitar in our living room. Thought I was mostly a bit done with rock, but listening to her playing, and finding out that she's getting a band togeth...

Yay it's Cheery Friday :-bd I have survived a cold and a little spooky graveyard bivvy with Reg, in admittedly quite luxurious accommodation. The squeaky gate and a some odd goings on on the roof by some as yet unidentified creatures kept us awake quite a bit ... An excellent evening and great to ge...

Right, off on the train for a few days wandering aimlessly round the more, er, colourful parts of the fab Welsh Valleys. Three changes of train on the way, what could possibly go wrong. Then again, who cares  . Bit toasty in these fleece leggings today but it's apparently going to be 1degC t...

...was lovely. But yesterday's ride is the one I wanted to talk about... So I'm in the beautiful Pyrenees again at the moment, third time as a cycling based trip. Where I'm staying is in a valley, and the only way out in any direction really is up a Col. Pretty big mountains, so to go further is kin...

Re: Yay, it's cheery Friday.
I seem to be in the process of being adopted by a rather sweet all white cat, which is hanging around the house and garden lots, and which I'm told is wild/ownerless. Risky with a greyhound....but she seems to not have noticed him or her yet, as too close I think and not moving ... I read somewhere...

you picking the venue from your book. Hmmm? Tables nicely turned :-bd . . Everybody else scroll down, but for Lu: Real Ale Wobble in Llanwrtyd Wells (November) (there you go!) and many more  Oooh! Is that a hint/suggestion? But £25? Nah, that’s not too much. And I can get there on the train. ...
