Re: Yay, it's cheery Friday.
Feeling ridiculously cheery this Friday morning, for no particular reason, which surely is the best way.... Head swirling with happy thoughts about possible weekend plans (involving a BAM hopefully), about the winter event, ideas for next year... Just really enjoyed a drive over to Llangattock and b...

(I'm probably going to get some stick for this...) With a set of aero / TT bars for the Straggler - I'm not needing to go any faster but have taken to resting my forearms on the bars on longer rides to give my wrists and hands a rest, despite the bars being higher than the seat, so it would be nice...

I'm glad to have the box to tick and I'm glad to have ticked it! I like that Josh... :-bd Sounds like a common theme here, struggling to drag ourselves out there this time of year, but feeling good about having done it afterwards. Loving the creativity this is generating at the moment, sheds and sh...

Re: Breakfast with a view.
Right, here's this weekend's breakfast with a view from me - and the answer to a question you have never asked yourself: how do you toast crumpets on a bivvy? This morning was going decidedly not to plan, with my daughter's (electric) car dying a very sudden and unexpected, and complete, death, luck...

Re: Winter Bivvy?
I thoroughly enjoyed last year's really rather frosty SWWB - but this year have similar sort of predicament as Reg.... both my husband and my daughter have birthdays that weekend, and whilst I got away with it last year, to be away for a second year running would I think not be in the spirit of thin...

Re: Bivvy a month 2023.
Stunning, only been to Cornwall once and would love to see more. And now I'm thinking whether to take the espresso maker out with me tonight. Might have to be done. Same here! I'm thinking a Cornwall trip sometime next year is definitely on the cards. And my neglected espresso maker is coming out t...

Re: Yay, it's cheery Friday.
Cheery as I've just spent all of fifty quid on a return ferry ticket Dover to Dunkirk for me plus bike for May next year. Been wanting to do that for a while now. Plan is to take the car to Dover, then ferry, then ride "home" to my parents' house for my birthday, over a few days. Either vi...

Re: Breakfast with a view.
Fantastic idea. Something I have started doing. Each Friday morning starts with coffee up the hill behind my house. Takes 15mins to cycle up and it’s brilliant to just sit in peace for 10mins. Going to bicycle a small tarp up this Friday and hopefully keep going up there over winter. Watching the s...
