and brought a cheapo copy bar mount for my garmin etrex, ordered before i seen someone on here say don't bother with the cheap copies and pay the extra for the real mccoy. havent had it out for a spin yet but it does seem a bit sh!t as the stopper bit at the bottom doesnt actually click in place pro...

I've got 2 bits of elastic inside the top panel of mine to hold my pole. They're spaced so I slide the pole in to the rear one and then I can put the front of the pole in and slide it forward under the front one. i have an ottolock hexband 76cm which is 250g. they appear on sportpursuit now and then so u dont gotta pay fullwhack if u dont mind waiting [edit: £60 from sigma sports ]. can be cut through but they all can. seems like an okay weight/security balance. the rotar padlock idea sounds great if ur not ...
