There's a Lion on ebay at the mo, not sure how they compare, if they are different things?

Re: Winter boots
Thanks for all the suggestions, quite a few to look at I've kind of gone off the NW Raptors now, after looking at different soles available they don't look that great for off the bike stuff, The wife sent me a link for some Mavic Crossmax SL Thermo which looked very swanky, I'm not sure the zip is a...

Winter boots
I think I want to give clipless a try so I’ve been eyeing up footwear options. I’m leaning towards a higher boot rather than a shoe, NW Raptor types Are GTX lined riding boots as crap as GTX hiking boots or are they worth the spend? Recent outings have made it clear that I’m going to get wet and mud...

Re: GFBD North Wales edition...
It was certainly a wild one, I ended up camping lower down the valley for a couple of nights. Rode up to the cottage on Saturday afternoon but was probably too early to catch you guys and it was too grim to hang around for long.
Did I see you guys ride past camp about 4pm on Saturday?

Brake, rattle and roll
I changed my front pads after my last ride, now I've got a loose rattle/knock upfront when I rock the bike with the brake on I think it's just the new split pin being slightly narrower than the last one, the ends of the pin are well splayed but it doesn't feel right to me. Rotors are torqued up corr...

I was planning a few days out on the fatty around the Eigiau area that weekend, if timings work I’ll knock on the door and say hi.

Re: The post man's been ...
Not the postman, but I nipped over to Alpkit's new shop in Gateshead to pick up a set of Confucius bars. Spotted them the other week while taking a break from an Ikea trip. Couldn't think why I hadn't tried them before in my quest for the perfect bikepacking handlebar, then realised I'd never seen ...

Re: Todays ride
I was surprised too, I wore a HH Lifawool long sleeve top with Montane fleece over the top, Montane wind shirt over that, full length tights and shorts on the bottom, lower half was okay but my core was pretty chilly. I probably wasn’t working hard enough to generate much heat due to lack of fitness...

Re: Todays ride
First trip out on my bike this weekend, just a few laps of Ennerdale, exploring all the side tracks then a very blair witch esque camp to finish Some thoughts I've come away with, I need some glasses as anything above 20mph makes my eyes water, my handlebar bag made my brakes mushy so need to think ...
