You could probably clove hitch a line around a pole at any height too, I’ve done this regularly with trekking poles. I’ve only just switched to Stu’s poles though so not tried it yet. Yeah the Restrap front (Food Pouch) bag uses two magnets to attach to the harness so not very universal
