Re: Jay Petervary : Bikepacking's Bad Boy or Ambassador ?
I listened to most of it last night
A lot of he said this and she said that, all a bit handbags at ten paces I thought. I suspect both parties regret saying some of the things they did.

Re: The post man's been ...
Nice, I missed out on the recent delivery, pre ordered for the next batch in March now Its a broken road, they're shown in stock on the website mate I bought frame only. I’ve gone for the GX build so that might be the delay, last I heard frames were on their way and expected mid March. Weird as I g...

Re: A Blast from the Past
I’ve still got my early 90’s Whisperlite which gets used on some winter trips if there’s snow to melt.
Despite running unleaded through it for many a year it still runs like new, although I do use better fuel these days.
I’m also partial to a bit of Svea action too but mine is a recent acquisition

Re: Bit late to the party but which Aliexpress shelter should I chose?
The new'ish Lanshan 1 Pro which Al linked to above looks to be a decent shelter, I bought one a few months ago but haven't used it yet, I've pitched it a couple of times and it goes up easily enough with the right length pole. It doesn't have a separate inner but has a bathtub floor and mesh sewn in...

Re: Down trousers?
The Tectop trews on Ali are good, I stupidly sold mine on when a pair of Borah Gears came up for sale.
Since I’ve started bikepacking I’m preferring to carry synthetic rather than down and use a lighter bag for sleeping

Re: Ribble Adventure
I can't help with a user review Rich, but I was in the shop last week and they look mighty nice. I went to look at the CGR, but after seeing the Adventure I had to remind myself that I'm looking for a bike for 75% road / 25% off road, not the other way around. I was very tempted by the Adventure bu...

Ribble Adventure
I’ve seen Stu’s preview but can’t see much else on these, I notice a few members have pulled the trigger though.
Any thoughts yet or is it too early to have an opinion?
Ti is out of my range but the 725 is appealing,
Any thoughts on the steel vs carbon fork option? Drops or loops?

Re: Rigid Forks
Quite like the look of the Cotic Solarismax, love that Mercury paint job What’s the deal with swapping the suspension fork out for a rigid, does it throw the geometry out and make it unrideable? Anyone know how quick you have to be to grab a new bike from Cotic? I’ve signed up for the newsletter so ...
