Excellent thanks, Regs interpretation was more ridiculous than I could have hoped for. I think I will stick with what I have.

Re: Dales Divide 2020 .. who's going?
I'm in, I did it last year and it was great.
I took to much stuff as usual so I will try to take less this time also I have a new lighter bike.
A friend of mine is doing it also so I may or may not have a riding partner depends if I can keep up .

Re: Rigid Forks
I have recently purchased a new bike and after much advice from this forum I went with travers prong forks , always been a mountain biker with full suss or hardtail I had a little to learn but I absolutely love them now you just have to go a bit slower if its gets a bit rocky, I highly recommend the...

Re: Dam Busters.
Well thanks Stu and Dee ( I think) for the event I believe I choose possibly the worst route I could have which involved some lovely steep grassy/ slippy bridle way push ups with the strongest headwinds I have experienced, even to shut a five bar gate took both hands! It went on and on, I went past ...

Re: Does this bike / frame exist
I have a Broken Road albeit with carbon forks and 650b plus wheelset with 2.8 tyres and the clearance is big , when you get to that sticky mud it will fill any gap anyway.
I also have a custom build steel hardtail by my friend Chris Yeomans of Smithyframeworks he will make you anything you want.

Re: Cooking stove recommendations
I have a 450ml ti pot/cup and in it goes the smallest gas cylinder the kraku alpkit stove and a lighter , I use it for making coffee and sometimes dehydrated food , it boils really quickly with no faff. I've never had a meths stove so many comment on them but I really recommend my set up. The pot wa...

I use Garmin base camp and have done for years it's works fine.
I can import Gpx files and alter them at will, all laid over os 1.50000 maps.
Not sure if I'm allowed to say this but I have the Garmin os maps (all of uk) 1.50000 unlockled so if anyone needs a copy.

I have just got some Prong forks after many recommendations from this site, I think they are very well priced for the quality and ride you get.

Nice new bike pics Tim. :-bd What's the wheel/tyre combination? Wheels are the standard Sonder rumpus 650b plus and the tyres are wtb ranger 2.8 light and fast rolling and they really are! Been trying to get the pressures right and have got 18 front and back at the moment which seems pretty good.

New Bike Pictures.
Well I finally got my Sonder Broken Road with the Prong fork and I'm very happy, its light (11.5kg) and goes like the clappers. I went to the Long Mynd and the Stiper Stones at the weekend to give it a test, did a couple of green lanes too, it was quite damp underfoot to say the least but the bike j...

You will forget about it with time , I dropped a metal pole on my carbon full suspension bike when it was 3 days old and too a big lump of paint off the top tube , I almost cried.
In other news I got my new bike, pictures to follow when I work out he to do it !
