Re: Sonder Broken Road Owners - Whatcha Reckon?
Hello Micheal I tested one from Alpkit in Hathersage and had both sets of wheels, 650b plus and 29er, tried both on the same loop and found the 650b to roll better and be more comfortable. They built me one with forks I supplied (Travers Prong), brakes, seatpost (carbon) and saddle, they just take t...

Hello Sean I have a c17 carved and mine is doing the same but I can live with it, I also have a b17 which is so much more comfortable for as far as I can ride, just keep on top of the proof hide and all is well. I thought I read somewhere they have changed the design of the nose on the cambium saddl...

Re: GBDURO goes from self-supported to self-sufficient
If you're meant to be completely self-sufficient does that mean they want you to carry all the water for entire trip too? Maybe you could use something like a traffic cone strapped to your back as a water collection device? I'm not rising to the bait  . You've no idea how difficult that is th...

Re: "trail centre" vocabulary
Reg you have to talk about having your suspension tuned which makes it very supple and ramps up at the end of the stroke but you are running one token.
They will look at you in high regard then.

Hello Sean
Its a bit tenuous, but you did tell me about her when we rode together on the Dales Divide last year so I feel I know her well enough to sent a card and its my sisters birthday the same day so I shouldn't forget. Send me the address.

Re: Ribble Adventure: Any Real World Reviews or Action Pics?
I have a Briken Road with prong forks, I just spaced it that way, I bought the forks and took them up on build day. It rides excellently and is comfy for the long haul, I've only had it since September but have done a few trips on it. I tested one from Hatersage, costs £40 but they take it off the ...

Re: TDR bike suitability
I did it last year and had suspension forks, no numb hands, I have the urge to do it again and next time carbon forks and 650b plus tyres, I can highly recommend a carbon seatpost and a leather Brooks saddle, I met quite a few people with saddle sores and they where miserable. Personally I would not...

My Broken Road came with the same tyres and wheels and getting them off the first time to go tubeless was hard, really hard. They came with tubes so I did it the day they arrived, if they wont bead ( not trying to teach my gran to suck eggs )but have you tried taking the valve core out and using you...

Re: Alternative to Sram Dub bottom bracket?
If the bearing is marked 6806 that's a 42x30x7. Without wanting to sound patronising could you have mis-measured it? Or misread the code on it? Bearings always conform to the dimensions of the code (in my experience) as that's the point of putting the code on. Back to the original problem, are ther...

Re: Alternative to Sram Dub bottom bracket?
Are the DUB bearings I linked to not the easiest and cheapest solution? Knock the knackered bearings out and replace, 10min job. I have just knocked the bearing out of my friends knackered dub bb ( he left it at my garage when we changed it before lockdown ) and the bearing is a 6806 but measures 4...
