My friend is a sail maker and has just started up Spokeduk , they make all sorts of bikepacking bags and the website has just gone live.
We have been testing all the bags for the last couple of years they are pretty bombproof.

Nice one Tim. I'm impressed you got the roof on straight with your choice of on the job refreshment  https://i.imgur.com/ZZXzzCY.jpg Thanks Dave I always think safety wine is very important working at height  I wondered if anyone would spot that so 10 points to you, it was in fact water!

Re: Lock-down projects
It was quite cheap to insulate with 50mm polystyrene and warms up pretty quick with the electric oil fired radiator, it will make an excellent additional bike workshop if he ever moves out

Re: Lock-down projects
Well not strictly lock down as we started it in January 20. I built the original when I built my garage as a workshop for my wife when she used to do marquetry but couldn't make it pay so it ended up as a bit of a dumping ground. Our son is now 16 and him and his mates started using it as a place to...

I tried to keep up with what he was talking about but failed miserably, turned the volume down and it was much better!
Would love to go riding like that at the moment though with a few friends.
I cant remember the last time I went to Wales to ride my bike

Re: Tyre question (sorry!)
I have the Rangers in 2.8, good tyre low rolling resistance, grip is average and they last well. I have just swapped to Vittoria Mezcal 2.6 which I have had before but in 2.35on my hardtail, rolling resistance is a lot lower so good for long days out, they are very long lasting and tough and I would...

Re: Yay, it's cheery Friday.
I have spent the last 6 weeks working loads trying to get all the work I had promised for Christmas done which I completed at 3pm on Friday so I am now not working until next year  I went riding today which was quite marvellous even in the mud with a headwind and I have riding planned for the ...

Re: Best trail / multitool of all time?
Crank Brothers 19, quality kit.
They do a 20 now and I have just bought my wife one, the extra tool is a think for pushing in tyre worms and it has a little case clipped to the side for said worms, very snazzy.

I have just subscribed, getting 5 mags for the price of 4 which ends on Christmas day.
I don't remember the last time I bought a bike mag but I had a look on the site and it doesn't seem the norm so willing to give it a bash.

I have a trailshot and the Be Free, I prefer the Be free its smaller lighter and quicker and you can use it for water storage as well. If you clean it with warm clean water when you get home the filter stays tip top.

I also have a decathlon down jacket was about £40, I am a very sweaty rider so I take both jackets , omm for riding when its cold and down for when I sto...

Re: Dales Divide back on 29th August... yay (but is it still accessible!)
Well I did it last year and thought I would give it another bash but this year the going was not as easy with a lot more bog hopping. It was cooking hot last year too and although it stayed dry this year it was rarely warm. I met up with Dave (see Above) on day one and Gary who was punishing himself...

Hello Shaf I rode this last year with absolutely no idea if I would make it and had plans of being in bed by 9pm  , I met Sean on the first morning and he said about riding quite late and it dawned on me that I would have to do the same if I was going to get round, the first day is the hardest ...

Re: Your go-to waterproof trousery pants
I have the alpkit ones and have just done a section of the Great North Trail, it peed down for one solid day with no let ups and amazingly I had dry legs at the end of the day, they where brand new though and that was there first outing but I was impressed. I'm doing the dd and will definitely be ta...

Re: Coffee bags or other options
I have proper coffee at home and used to take coffee bags out but it just seemed to much to carry out and back until I could find a bin so I tried some lavazza instant and was pleasantly surprised, I just take some in a little container and bobs your uncle.
