WTD Wahoo Elemnt stem mount

After a stem mount for an Elemnt Bolt, the one that just zipties on. Only place that seems to have them in stock is Wahoo themselves and they want £5 delivery for a tiny bit of plastic

Cheers!

SOLD Alpkit r-i-g (tarp) 7

Alpkit R-i-g 7 tarp in kelp Had a play with this in the garden but never been used in anger - decided I am either a fair-weather bivvier or a tenter! As new other than the fact I have lost the little stuffsack so it will come in a little Alpkit mesh bag instead. Also added some cord to the addition...

Re: BB7 setup with Speed Dial levers

Never had an issue with BB7s personally, I think initial set up is quite important though. Because only the outside pad moves you want the disc ever so slightly closer to the inside pad. My go-to method: Loosen caliper bolts and wind both pads all the way out Turn the inside pad (with the torx) one ...

On imgur if you right click the image itself and 'copy image location' (on Firefox at least) then paste that.

Interested in the answer also!

From Morvelo themselves, at least the 'older' version are. Just received this morning, seem the same as the normal bibs which is good. The pockets are a tad small but fine for phone/cash etc.

Normal Morvelo bibs are the comfiest I have found, just ordered some overland ones so that's my vote of confidence - assume you have seen the sale price?

Re: Jones loops vs drop bars

I had the same experience as LR with my Fargo. The drops were about where a flat bar would be and felt really secure off road, but the hoods weren't that useable - it felt weird just reaching forward for them without any drop. I think a loop style bar actually provides more viable hand positions tha...

I have a Trek Checkpoint, definitely at the endurance road end of the gravel bike spectrum (no bad thing). New Diverge does look very good though with added clearance.

Re: Gravel Gearing....again

9 speed mtb mech is worth a try. 4700 Tiagra stuff uses a different pull ratio so don't think this works any more unfortunately. I was in the same boat and decided it would just be easier to change chainset + front derailleur to GRX - around €100 from one of the German websites. The front derailleu...

FS: SMD Lunar Solo + BB carbon pole

Six Moon Designs Lunar Solo for sale, been pitched in the garden but otherwise new! Main reason for sale is that I'm 6'4" and it needs a pretty careful pitch and use of the extra guylines to keep my feet from touching the ends. It's not unworkable, and I know people even taller than me are usin...

Re: Hybrid Bike... Gearing Identification

The width of the bottom bracket shell should be a good indicator. As a general rule a road bike will have a 68mm shell, and an MTB 73mm. In the case of an external bearing bottom bracket, you can still run MTB cranks on a road frame by spacing the bottom bracket, but not the other way round i.e. roa...

Re: Wahoo elmnt ROAM -at intervals - review

Good start, cheers for sharing! Interested to see how it will cope off-road. I know it's still mostly road orientated, but if I head off down a bridleway for example will it have a fit and tell me to get back to the nearest road, or just go with the flow and keep navigating? Might be largely down to...

Re: Shimano now have a 'Gravel' groupset.

Not a fan of Tredz, but they have some pricing up (all RRP I'm guessing): https://www.tredz.co.uk/bicycle-components?q=shimano+grx The 10 speed stuff looks pretty reasonable, rear cable pull is the same as 4700 so that's a bit less of a dead end now in terms of compatibility. Better late than never,...

Re: Etrex 30x or Wahoo Elmnt ROAM: A vote

I did convince myself that the Etrex30is the way to go... But then memories of my 720 (and 520) came flooding back and the complex rituals of trying to upload a routes (or having to open up the laptop and getting a cable and/or removing and inserting memory cards) and having to chop massive routes ...
