Re: GB Duro Entries open

Did the gbduro in 21. Was a pretty good event but with some odd rules. They were trying hard to encourage less represented groups, many of whom had little experience. They were nearly all out of the main group immediately as they couldn't make the cut offs. At least most of these rules have been scr...

Badger Divide

Hi. I read a while back that there was a bridge closed near Loch Rannoch. Is it still shut does anyone know? Am planning to ride this at the end of April. If its still shut I'll plan a route round. Easier than getting there and having to do a work around.
Cheers. Pete

Re: Woods Rat Run

Did this over 2 days in September. Mostly a good route but would avoid the Bournemouth prom if I was doing it again. It was a rainy September day bit was still a nightmare with so many people.

2 day loop south Scotland

Planning on riding the Badger Divide in April and will be finishing on a Wednesday. This leaves room for a 2 dayer on the Friday/Saturday before driving home on the Sunday. Ideally not too epic and mostly rideable! Any good ideas? Capitol trail looks good but will be too long.

Re: Bike musings sonder camino vs colibri vs onone freeranger

I know a few people with Freerangers and all like them. I've found planet x pretty good to deal with tbh. Bit me and the wife bought titus mtbs from them. Turned up when they said, no drama. If I was looking for a gravel bike the freeranger would be on my list for sure

Re: Pan Celtic 2023

Did last years, which was based mostly in Ireland. Probably the nicest event I've done. The organisers have a really good attitude. Just as keen on people enjoying the ride and having fun as much as racing it. Unfortunately couldn't do this year as I already had something booked but would do another...

Wanted jones loop bar

Anyone got a loop bar hiding in their shed they want to get rid of? Fancy trying one but don't want to pay out on a new one

Re: 2 person tent recommendations

Not winter conditions, but got trips to Ireland in summer, so lots of rain, and pyrenees in the autumn. Mostly not windswept mountain tops.

2 person tent recommendations

Looking for something reasonably light,a bit of space for 2 and kit and not too expensive. Don't mind spending a reasonable amount but not silly amounts , maybe upto £350 ish for the right one
Thanks

No problem. Still had a good day out. Shame as a month ago I was riding well, but maybe my recovery isn't as good these days 😕

Re: Dartmoor 200. September 18th

Thanks for sorting the route Luke. I'm afraid I bailed early. Without wishing to make excuses, I'm still suffering with sore feet and hands after another recent long ride. If I'm honest, I just didn't have the legs for it either. Just nothing in the tank. Hopefully, have another go when I'm feeling ...

Re: Dartmoor 200. September 18th

Just going to ride and see where I get to. Going to camp and then ride to the finish on Sunday. I'm more of a slow trundler, so will go at my own pace .

Re: Dartmoor 200. September 18th

Still aiming to be there. Personally I'd rather start 9 latest just to get as far on as possible. If others want a later start I'll probably just trundle off on my own. Don't know what others plan ,but I'm going to camp out somewhere rather than ride through the night.

Re: Dartmoor 200. September 18th

Still hope to be there. Have just finished the gbduro, and my hands and feet need a bit of recovery time. Is it possible to send the gpx as I can't get ride with GPS to work for me

Re: GBDuro

It's a lot simpler than it sounds. You don't need live strava tracking. You need a tracker (spot or in reach) strava only to back up any bits that get missed by the tracker. And it's v easy to post a timestamped photo on Instagram. It's a simple way for riders to record their finish time. Last year'...

Re: GBDuro

I think scotroutes is getting confused with the Great British Divide race, which was a few weeks ago. Stage 4 of gbduro starts at Fort Augustus on Monday at 8am.
