Re: Bivvy a Month 2024
May BAM - WRT Edition. Rode with Eugene & Mike on the first afternoon aiming for the chippy/shop near Vyrnwy, great to bump into Neil who's bike I recognised from his BAM pics with tarp set up last month (hope you had a good'n Neil). Camped above the Hotel on the Saturday night and had a great n...

Another vote for the Katadyn Befree bottle works really well, so much easier to use than the MSR trail shot which I found to absolute tosh tbh very slow goin imo

Re: Bivvy a Month 2024
April BAM was meant to be earlier on but time always seems to get going as the month goes by and I end up chasing my tail a tad. I did plan a little more riding but 15 mile in the temps dropped pretty quick so I opted for Bryn Alyn where I've bivvy'd before and I wasn't too far away. Pitched up befo...

Re: Recommend an exercise bike
Before I ventured into the world of Zwift, I did a little research and ended up getting myself a spin bike rather than an exercise bike and swapped the pedals out for SPD's which I'm guessing the misses wouldn't be needing then I sold it on FB which isnt a bad place to grab a bargain now and again, ...

Re: Brother cycles Big bro
Currently own a Big Bro and can honestly say I love it, very versatile bike tbh. I've owned since 2020 and it's been brilliant at covering the miles whether rigid or with the Reba fork I've currently got fitted. Leerowe76 is my Insta should you wanna look at it  , but yeah I would recommend the...

Re: Bivvy a Month 2024
March BAM, well where do I start. Was meant to be the Dales Divide which turned out to be a mare on most fronts tbh. Had a decent first day on the Friday riding mostly with Dave Riley and meeting up later with Allen before an almighty soaking and then getting cold and not being able to warm up prope...

99.77km, 3120m ascent.
Did a couple of the midweek Audax 100k rides in the Peaks last year good routes, most with 2000m of climbing and the last one was just over 3000m

Re: Bivvy a Month 2024
February BAM was meant to be the Winter Jennride, but that didn't happen due to feeling like an Otter for 7hrs. Anyway managed to get out late as in gone 11pm on the 29th  , I'd spotted a brand new gazebo which had been erected on a school feild on a ride last week and thought yep that will do ...

Re: Which chain lube?
Currently using Squirt lube seems ok, a real test for it was last years BB200 and it worked pretty well considering what it had to deal with. Wiped down and re-applied at Rhayader after all the rivers just as a precaution really to ensure it was smooth to the end unlike myself

Old chains & cassettes
What do people do with their old ones ? I have about 15 or so chains & numerous cassettes all over the garage at the moment, I don't currently own a welder but may buy a second hand one to maybe make some bike kinda art/tat.
Anyone have any ideas. Cheers
