Lots of things enter my mind and should really write stuff down as I'm a bit forgetful so my other half tells me, some stuff I forget forever some stuff comes back.

To tape or not to tape that is the question

What are peoples views on taping up the frame on a bike packing bike for protection from bags rubbing etc, or do you like the bike to bear the scars of adventure. I've only ever taped my go to carbon xc ride but not yet bothered doing the Big Bro as its not like I'm going anywhere just yet ??

Majority of riders of that era were taking some drug or another anyway, the sports rife for PEDS just like most sports I guess. Think the sporting passports is a great idea but I was reading something a while back about micro dosing which allows some athletes to stay under the radar with small amoun...

Reg, my advice would be at the beginning of the day to announce that you are "going off to session the drop on the black until you've got it dialled" then sneak off into the woods with your brew kit and have a nice cup of tea and wait for the whole thing to blow over.

Somewhere
The night is on the run
With a bottle of ouzo
And a rusty gun
The north wind
Is like a Spanish Guitar
Soaked in petrol
Burning on the bar

Love Cat Empire, great band

The Lanshan 1 looks like a Lunar Solo clone, that's tempting.
Thats what i've got at the moment, good price & not a bad build quality either. the 2 man also looks a good one too to be fair
maybe a purchase on on eof them too so the lad can come out with me in the future.

Chinese copy of a Lunar solo, before that I used a 3f UL gear 1 manner both weighing 750 ish grams and both work well tbh for the money paid I cant really complain about either, kept me dry on many occasions.

Did'nt read every post, but have you or do you have your shoes to tight it has been known. if its already been suggested then serves me right. I only say it as i suffered a good few years ago for some reason i felt i needed to have them super tight.

Lycra 99% of the time & Endura FS260 Pro shorts work well on my gooch, have a pair of Endura baggies which are comfy too but only wear them now and again (worn pad & need replacing really). Myself personally I go for a good thick pad everytime & being comfortable is the main priority hence a rear mu...

surely most gravel riders are roadies who can't quite bring themselves to being seen on a mountain bike?

Re: Changing pads whilst out

Local rides consist of 1 tube (tubeless) 2 x C02's, multitool and 2 levers I check my pads every few rides anyway and whip em out and clean up takes seconds to do, but as for multiday rides I'd carry a spare set of pads for sure or replace with a new set before the trip, no real mither to swap out a...
