Re: Neoair users

Used the pump sack on a few occasions, but after seeing John Climber and his handy little pump I purchased one and there really good inflates and deflates and doesn't weigh much either. The older version has no light but the new one does :-bd https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275173636652?_trkparms=amclksr...

Re: RAPAH500 - anyone doing it!

Stopped doing these when they stopped the woven patches  Although did think of it this year but after crashing and knackering my AC joint for the 3rd time and working in-between Xmas made it pretty impossible, totally agree the proper 500's should only count if outdoors

Re: Audax. anyone ride em ?

Dean's 'Steele Roads and Woolly Hills' 400km is pretty good. Mostly road but some decent off-road bits including Cam High Road. Bristol Glasgow Bristol (1600km) also includes some good off-road - Cam High Road, Salter Fell, Kielder, Galloway forest, Rooley moor etc. but still predominantly (minor) ...

Re: New multi-tool and/or leatherman type thingy advice...

Multi tools are a funny one as we all don't really want to be using one as that would reflect badly on the poorly maintained bikes we ride, but recently bought this one and its nice and light, really small and has most things on it to pull you out the you know what although I'm happy to report I hav...

Re: What bike for bugger all fitness???

Dales 300 had me in bits from riding a rigid mtb on 2.2's, sore right wrist for 2 weeks and still suffering from what I think is hotfoot (not pleasant at all) so I'd be thinking pure comfort and use the fitness you have to ride and not getting rattled about

Re: Garmin Edges

Based on my own personal experience I'd go for the Wahoo bolt over the Garminge units but thats me, battery life and ease of use knocks spots off the Garmin units. My 810 was probably the best of all till it got a little old then the gremlins set in and ruined the vibe with that unit went on to 820 ...
