Re: BB200 2024
Also thinking of the 300 if the stars align, Question - If jumping onto the 200 from the 300 if things don't go to plan can you still aim for a badge doing the 200 ?

Re: tyre Sealant
Avid fan of Stan's over many years still does a good job, but recently seen a deal on the new Pirelli stuff in Tweeks Cycles Wrexham for £16 for a pint so thought I'd give it a go. some reviews say it stains wheels and frames but I'm guessing that's if your a messy bugger and you get it everywhere. ...

Re: Ultralightweight 2season sleeping bag?
I've just bought myself a Sea To Summit SP1, only used the once up to now on Saturday night at around 9-10° the bag was superb which I expect it should be at that temp, 385g (long version) here's the link for info :-bd https://www.tradeinn.com/trekkinn/en/sea-to-summit-spark-spi-sleeping-bag/1370987...

Re: Bivvy a Month 2024
Anyway a quick spin up road to the wellie shed of a local school, good enough to get the job done even if I was surrounded by smelly kids wellies and a chance to try the new kip bag out. That is definitely the most high-risk BaM location I've ever heard of    . Imagine explaini...

Re: Bivvy a Month 2024
After May's BAM right at the beginning of the month on the WRT I thought I'd given myself plenty of time to get June's done and out the way :| How wrong was I. Didnt feel to well on the Thursday/Friday so left it pretty much to the death again and even tougher knowing I had to be home for 04:30 as I...

Re: Veloviewer map - explorer tiles
I grabbed a few tiles last week that I've been riding past for a while using the handy Explorer Helper app but the app has gone down and completely disappeared. Does anyone use any other apps to help them out on the tile collecting or do you just use a desktop/laptop, gutted the apps gone down as it...

Re: Supertramp 2024: A Challenge
On the Audax 600's do people tend to sleep or ride through as 200 is the max I've rode in a oner, doubt I'd get anywhere near 3,4 or 600 tbh in one go could be out there all week

Re: Bivvy a Month 2024
May BAM - WRT Edition. Rode with Eugene & Mike on the first afternoon aiming for the chippy/shop near Vyrnwy, great to bump into Neil who's bike I recognised from his BAM pics with tarp set up last month (hope you had a good'n Neil). Camped above the Hotel on the Saturday night and had a great n...

Another vote for the Katadyn Befree bottle works really well, so much easier to use than the MSR trail shot which I found to absolute tosh tbh very slow goin imo

Re: Bivvy a Month 2024
April BAM was meant to be earlier on but time always seems to get going as the month goes by and I end up chasing my tail a tad. I did plan a little more riding but 15 mile in the temps dropped pretty quick so I opted for Bryn Alyn where I've bivvy'd before and I wasn't too far away. Pitched up befo...

Re: Recommend an exercise bike
Before I ventured into the world of Zwift, I did a little research and ended up getting myself a spin bike rather than an exercise bike and swapped the pedals out for SPD's which I'm guessing the misses wouldn't be needing then I sold it on FB which isnt a bad place to grab a bargain now and again, ...

Re: Brother cycles Big bro
Currently own a Big Bro and can honestly say I love it, very versatile bike tbh. I've owned since 2020 and it's been brilliant at covering the miles whether rigid or with the Reba fork I've currently got fitted. Leerowe76 is my Insta should you wanna look at it  , but yeah I would recommend the...

Re: Bivvy a Month 2024
March BAM, well where do I start. Was meant to be the Dales Divide which turned out to be a mare on most fronts tbh. Had a decent first day on the Friday riding mostly with Dave Riley and meeting up later with Allen before an almighty soaking and then getting cold and not being able to warm up prope...

99.77km, 3120m ascent.
Did a couple of the midweek Audax 100k rides in the Peaks last year good routes, most with 2000m of climbing and the last one was just over 3000m
