Re: Go on then, what did you get?
What is it with socks at Crimbo? i guess at least mine had bikes on, did yours Andy? Alas no, but they are fancy merino ones. Socks must be a safe bet. Everyone wears them, you can’t offend anyone by getting the wrong size (within reason)... or my feet constantly stink and it’s a subtle suggestion.

Are the Bontrager shoes still available? If so I’d like to take them please.

Socks and one of those new dangled DART plugs from a keen-on-tech-researching father. Always seems odd being so pleased to receive something I hope not to have to use!

Re: The post man's been ...
Not a postman but a quick trip up the M6 to get myself a Calibre Dune from Penrith. First ride out on it on the local trail tonight and it was great fun. They inflated the tyres to something crazy high so I stopped about 8 times to let a little more out but it's rocky and rooty in the forest so didn...

Hi all, is this restricted to those inhabitants of Scotland or could someone from the Scotland of England (Cumbria) join you too?

Re: Sonder Signal Ti
The BR is definitely the wiser choice in terms of all round, I just think living where I do, I'll end up wanting that slacker front end and wider 29" tyre option more.

Re: Sonder Signal Ti
Went out on my local fell, Black Combe this evening and the BR was good fun but I’d definitely have preferred it on a Signal. BR was fun but really felt the arm pump by the end of it. Managed a fair bit more of the climb than on my heavy full susser too.
Which groupset does it have on it?

Re: Sonder Signal Ti
Hi, I'm interested, what size and how much are you looking for?
Out of interest, what led you to choose the Broken Road instead of the Signal? I'm having that dilemma at the moment. Have a BR for this week to see which suits me better.

Re: Charitable bicycle purchase...
Hi Giacomo, Sounds like a crappy situation! I have an oldish (6 years maybe) Planet X pro carbon in Medium that's gathering dust (I'm never too keen on riding it on the roads round here), I'd half heartedly made an attempt to shift it on, but at the moment it's just sitting on the rollers. It's neve...

Re: What suss fork for a Ramin 3+
Alas, 160mm not long enough, needs around 180mm. Following the "Do I want a..." thread, I'm sort of tempted by a fatbike now... Calibre Dune looks like a decent shout for cheap thrills and with all the beach and moorland riding I can get to, may make more sense as I can still use the full ...

Re: What suss fork for a Ramin 3+
Thanks for the info all, after some trawling, I've found a suitable Fox fork, which I think will be suitable for what I want and is cheap enough to not worry about if it doesn't work out. Just need to confirm 160mm is enough steerer and I'll have a go!
Cheers all

Re: What suss fork for a Ramin 3+
Thanks Johnny, I thought that might be the best route. Any idea how to find a suitable conversion kit to the standard hubs?
Do they all do the same job? I presume they extend the hub and move the disc mount too?

What suss fork for a Ramin 3+
Hi all, Just thinking ahead to winter, I rode the Ramin 3+ through last winter which was great but with some of the rockier stuff I ride up here in the Western Lakes I definitely felt I could do with a suss fork to pair with the 3” tyre on the front. Any ideas what would be suitable, not looking for...

Re: WTD - Thule Proride
Cheers Taylor, depending on which model they are and how much you want for them, it'll probably still be more economical to include the cost of a courier on to it. I'll wait to see what you've got and how much you want and then will start looking at costs.
Cheers,
Andy
