Looks rather good. Have cycled most of it but never the lot together so might need to find a few spare days.
If anyone is heading round it I’m not far outside Lochgilphead should you need any help or anything.

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
I do hope it’s nothing bad for alpkit/sonder. Owning a hardtail if there’s myself I definitely wouldn’t buy another bike from them but don’t want to see anyone struggling.

Re: A wee whisky appreciation thread.
Must admit I do enjoy a good dram. We have been in the habit of going into one of these online whisky shops and buying some random selection of miniature just to try different things which we can then look at getting if we like it. Current good tipple is lagavulin distillers edition, balvenie week o...

Re: sorry to ask again but Wahoo or Garmin ?
I like simple and efficient so have a wahoo bolt that I got from here. Bluetooth with my phone and can sent routes in seconds. Tried Garmin stuff but just couldn’t get it to work. I don’t have a laptop so do everything on my phone and find the wahoo app works great.

Has been kept in the back of the cupboard in the hope it would fit but never going to happen. :| Been used a few times and has some signs of wear and bobbling to the front from the waists strap of rucksacks. Few years old model which is blue. It’s a great layering jackets. Can email pics and any mea...

Re: Paramo Torres alturo jacket
Hi,
I would say it’s probably too big for you. I’m 5ft 10 and normally take a large in most jackets and can still fit this over the top of a waterproof if needed. I can send across some measurements if you want.
Thanks

Been lurking in the back of the cupboard for a while so might aswell put it up for sale. Worn once but I run far too hot for it so have no use for it. Size large in black with a rather bright orange inside. Similar to the below. In great condition and been on for 15mins a few years ago. Looking for ...

Re: Strathpuffer on Drops - Will I Die?
You will be grand in that. Having ridden both the ht550 and the puffer there’s nothing massively technical in the puffer course so drops will handle it all no problem. Rode it last on my surly ogre with no suspension and had no issues.

I'm going to do some work on the route to miss out one bit of trunk road so watch this space. (and keep nagging me) Somewhere on this forum is a link to the current route although this may now be broken.... Spoiler alert - no death marches, no tussocks and definitely no big puddles! If you need hel...

Not this year but hardly surprising I didn’t get a space since I have hardly ridden my bike since July.
Just need to go for a pedal round it in April and try again next year.

Doesn’t need to be fancy looking for 29ers and 2.4 or their abouts. Currently running continental Xkings which have been great but are now almost ...

Re: Dealing with the damp
As has been said above there isn’t much you can do sadly other than embrace it. Bivy and tarp seems to work ok but again it depends on conditions. Living on the west coast of Scotland where seems to constantly be damp I haven’t found much to help. If I’m doing 3 days and it involves some bog and sec...

As had been said they have a waterproof liner so there’s not much you can do sadly. Dubbing or something like that may help but it will only waterproof the outer material.

Have used various makes on the mountain bike for a while. Fantastic idea. Something I have started doing. Each Friday morning starts with coffee up the hill behind my house. Takes 15mins to cycle up and it’s brilliant to just sit in peace for 10mins. Going to bicycle a small tarp up this Friday and hopefully keep going up there over winter. Watching the se...

Not been down that path for a while but last time the gate wasn’t locked. Don’t think I should be locked as there’s access from the car park for cyclists at all times.
