Re: Tyres

Rim width is the standard 35 mm it's a 17 longitude so it's on a double , don't like 1x on my trail bike I took it off and put that back to 3x9 so not going down that route with this bike ,( maybe I'm just getting old and see it as a solution to a problem that doesn't exist I have now exposed myself...

Re: Grips /bars

Think it's 3.2 lizard skins on my Boardman cx with 35 tyres and it's comfortable enough for 20/30 miles of tow bank ( very few are actually tow paths by me)/ bridleways

Re: Grips /bars

Always used the thick lizard skins tape on drop bars and never had bars more than 740 mm so I don't know why I never cut them down when I got the bike , now they are at 720 and with those grips the last couple of rides have been fine ,now it's just to find a solution to stop the screws in my ankle f...

Got the gs2 by mistake but the little endies are quite comfortable , after a few little tweaks of the grips they seem to have stopped the problem

Re: Biking with kids - Snowdonia

There's the minotaur trail at coed y brenin it's 3 loops at about 3 km each so if after 6 k and they want to go back it's not a case of trying to look for the fastest way back to the car park , I found trail centers the best bet with my young fella for the same reasons you stated he likes getting ou...

Grips /bars

Getting a slight pain in my right palm after about 50 miles , still got the original genesis bars on my longitude , not sure whether it's the original grips ( quite thin) , whether it's that I haven't cut the bars down still at 800mm or if I need to go down the alternative bar route ,thinking of cut...
