Re: Can you bend bars?

Same as what stu and Phil say ,plus it'll probably cost more for you to get the kit pipe benders and access to oxy acetylene than it would to buy a couple of different cheap bars
And I would have thought you'd want to temper the steel to keep its strength which can be a dark art in itself

Re: Broken Riders - Joining The Party (Long Read)

Bizarrely I seem to have bruised my arse from being on the trainer yesterday. I know it's probably because my butt isn't used to it again yet, but I have to keep telling myself that it's not my hip socket that I've damaged. Edit - Also, measured yesterday and my right thigh is now two inches smalle...

Re: Sleeping clothes/ PJ's?

Don't tend to bother with much but if I'm in polite company I do sometimes take my On-One hot pants - actually, they're probably worse than walking round without. For this winter, I have a Lomo drysuit 'undersuit' - think thermal onsie. It's not light, it doesn't pack to the size of an apple but it...

Agree with stu had mike's old digest bars on the cdf for a week and a bit ,after the first couple of rides (where I felt stretched out ) a bit of fettling and now they feel really natural ,much better than the bars that came with it

Re: A little comp: Most Colourful Ride

Beer AND cross-dressing? Sounds like a cracking night out  In a mostly former life as a medieval re-enactor, I once had an evening involving beer where I ended up riding a cross-dressed man pretending to be woman pretending to be a horse in a mock jousting competition. Those were the days :gr...
