Re: Great Glen Way - return?

South Loch Ness Trail would get you to Fort Augustus, not sure after that. Scotroutes is your man.

Re: Todays ride

Rode a circuit from home which included a section of historic track called Mar's Road, now sadly been out of use for years. Part of it is still signed as a footpath but the section that interested me can only be followed by using field boundaries. The track was shown on old OS maps, 6" and 1" but no...

Re: The post man's been ...

I currently have 4 horse chestnuts, 2 Scots pines, 6 geans ( wild cherry) and 2 rowans growing on in pots. Most are rescued self-seeded. Usually plant out along our field boundaries but might look at some guerilla planting.

Re: The post man's been ...

Pair of Northwave Enduro Mid boots. Not quite what I was looking for. Northward Gran Canion would have been better, I bought a pair second hand which were too small (43/9.5 my usual size). So I sized up to 45 and they fit fine although label says 45/11! Just need to adjust cleats then ride.

I'll take that if it's not gone yet. Would Paypal be OK?

Re: MTB high top boots

I'd really like something that comes up around the ankle like the Buzzsaw or Trail 110. Search results show mostly out of stock or very few sizes available.

MTB high top boots

I'm trying to find some new boots to replace my old Specialized Sawpits which have finally given up the ghost. They stopped making these years ago. I think they were superceded by the Buzzsaw but these too are no longer available. I like boots which come up to the ankle but there don't seem to be ma...

Northwave boots

Northwave Gran Canion boots size 43/9.5. Bought second hand but virtually unused. Too small for me although I am normally a 9.5 so need to size up. Selling for what I paid - £50 + £5 delivery.

Re: A question of shoes (mid/boots actually)

I have a pair of Northwave Gran Canion which I bought second hand off Ebay but they don't fit me. Size 43/9.5, virtually unused/new, just slight mud on sole, with Shimano cleats. I am normally size 9-9.5 but these are too tight so need to size up. £55 posted if they are useful to someone.

Re: Admiring the night sky - for how much longer?

One good aspect of all the internet satellites going up is that eventually all the ground based mobile phone masts will become redundant so they could all be taken down. With all the masts they're going to need for 5G, I don't think this is likely. Apparently they are going to be installed on build...

Re: Custom Frame Bag

Custom made bag from bike-bag.co.uk for my On-One Fatty Trail. Made from a template, fits well though not used in anger yet. Re: Forum update changed from 4th April to 5th April at 9am

First impression looks good, clean and easy to read. However, there used to be an 'Active threads' list which amalgamated active threads from all sub-sections; I can't see this now. I used this as it was an easy way to read through the most recent posts without having to go back and forwards to the ...

Re: Watery eyes, your solutions.

I've had this for a long time and haven't found a solution. I'm told it is probably dry eye syndrome or even blepharitis, caused by glands in the eyelids clogging up. I've tried drops, sprays and now heated eye mask with, so far, little effect. As soon as I go outside, especially when cold, it start...

Re: Cycling /Hiking boots suggestions

This probably isn't much help, but I have a pair of Specialized Sawpits. I really like these and they had lots of good reviews but don't seem to be available any more. Unfortunately the soles are starting to break up and I need to replace, so far haven't found anything else I like.

Re: psi/ boost wheels

On the subject of pressure gauges, does anyone have any experience of this chap:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B074TXK84M
(or can recommend something of a similar type)
Got this or very similar from Amazon. Works fine, I use for fat bike up to 10psi.
