Re: Brittany, no not Ms Spears

Apologies for the late reply and thanks for the information, I am slowly putting a route together, the Hulegoat area is great and the Monts D'Aree will feature on the loop, I am going to look at gpx tracks from Gravel tro Breizeh for help and inspiration.

Just throwing it out there, I am looking to get back onto fatter tyres and I finally have a leave pass from the home office (wife) I was looking at the Sonder Frontier but I see they have updated it and are accepting pre orders, I have not seen any information regarding the rigid fork but it has gon...

Re: Thorn Sterling (Rohloff) + extra forks & more!

A beautiful bike, I wish it was in my size as I would love one of these but sadly we no longer make them, if you have not already done it you might want to post this in the Thorn forums http://www.thorncyclesforum.co.uk/ as there are collectors out there.

Tent life

I actually managed two outings last month, the second was a stag bivvy and while not a pure bivvy night it was good to get out and try out some new kit. I am going to do a review later this week of the Appkit Soloist tent, I hope you enjoy.

Re: My first trip of 2019

I don't particularly suffer from anxiety (unlike my partner who has at times) but bikepacking, or more accurately, preparing for bikepacking does tend to bring it out of me - have I got everything I need? Will I be too cold? What if it rains? Will I get eaten by bears? Will I get mugged? Will I mis...

Re: My first trip of 2019

The bags are Ortleib Roller Classic 20L bags, I am going to look into the idea of swapping to 4 12.5l pannier bags, probably Ortleib Sport roller plus, I like having the extra space for a change of clothes,or bringing along extra food/camera.

I am finally on the scoreboard for 2019 with a quick night out on Saturday, a bit fresh first thing but a great clear night with lots of stars, I have a second planned for the last weekend of the month as well. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/47777463741_654a1910b5_z.jpg IMG_20190504_204608 by S...

My first trip of 2019

I am off to a very late start this year, illness and being a lame ass are to blame. This trip was good and a change of mind set has come from it, I am off again at the end of the month but I am going to be making some changes to my kit, stepping away from a light weight low drag set up to something ...

Genesis Vagabond

Are there any other Vagabond owners in the house, I was wondering how you have yours set up? The reason I ask is that I am considering changing the drops for a flat bar, possibly a loop bar using deore brakes/shifters or staying drops and changing to TRP Hylex brakes. Thanks in advance

Simon.

A day late, finally some progress. I have changed my eating habits and finally some movement, I just need to get out on the bike more.

I won't be doing a weigh in next week as I am away trying not to eat too many cream tea's.
