Re: Bivvy a Month 2024
Well, my cunning plan of not compiling my report straight away, and waiting for Reg to weave his usual excellent narrative as per seems to have worked nicely. All I'll add is that Cavedale was a bloody stupid idea. Some pics: https://www.instagram.com/p/C4sGs7DNsQ6/ https://www.instagram.com/p/C4sHz...

How long does it take for your mat to lose pressure?
I awoke in the night the other month with my mat feeling distinctly deflated. Having spent more time than I'd rather stomping on it in the bath and looking for bubbles, I have singularly failed to find a puncture. From a bit of internet research, I understand that mats can go soft due to air cooling...

Outdry Extreme, "external membrane combined with an inner layer of soft fabric"; sounds like the heavier version to me.I take it it's the lightweight stuff?

Re: Bivvy a Month 2024
What's your state of mind this morming Bear? Mildly peeved at my mat deflating (I think it was a valve issue that was easily sorted once home, but less so in the cold and dark). Beautiful dawn chorus and sunrise though, a mug of hot chocolate in bed, and then down the hill to the Danish bakery. I s...

If you're regularly travelling to ride in different locations, it's worth considering the benefits of cleaning your bike to reduce the risk of transferring plant/animal diseases from one area of the country to another.

Visions of Dave heading down to his allotment for a quiet morning indulging his new pipe smoking routine, only to be confronted by Reg and a merry band of BAMmers nestled in the potting shed.
