Re: Fear?

I have this problem, but then I think to myself, if I was walking through the middle of nowhere and saw a tent, I'd soon turn the other way!
It's the whole "they're more scared of you then you are of them" argument.

Except I'd probably bite.

Re: The Official "Post Your Bike" Picture Thread!!!

That On One Whippet is gorgeous, love the red rims. Thanks. I don't think the rims are original, just a bit of luck that it came with such great components. After I bought it I went all over it checking the weight of everything and was very pleasantly surprised that the rims, tyres, carbon seat pos...

95CBFF57-E337-40CC-8DDE-46C62CF74074.jpeg Here’s my do it all bike, Ritchey P-29er. It does bikepacking, Mtb races, cyclocross races and single speed, but lately more often playgroup run with a child’s bike trailer. If they ever do them in that colour scheme again my wife better hide my credit card...

Re: Petzl Reactik + Head Torch - opinions and experiences?

I had a bike headlight, can't remember the brand, but it supposedly "adjusted to its surroundings". Bloody pain in the arse! If you went by a row of trees, it brightened, dimmed, brightened, dimmed, it couldn't figure out what it needed to do! I won't be using auto-adjusting lights anytime...

Actually not a bad idea, didn't think of that! Bet it still pops wheelies like a motocross bike. Just noticed, he's in the biggest cog whilst pulling all that. Bet he has some right legs on him!

Re: this person needs a lesson in bike packing

what amazes me the most about the original pic, is that even with two trailers, he still had to mount two big FULL panniers on the front of his bike. What the bloody hell is he carrying?! People go round the world with a 1/3 of what he has there!

Surly ECR forks. Tons of attachment points, no flex but seemed to feel solid over rough ground. Great forks.

The water bottle sits there fine but Ive since moved to slotting a 2l bottle into the Ocelot with a Blue Desert drinking tube. Still not happy with tha...

Bivvy Spots around Hull/East Yorkshire Area?

Haven't been able to find many where I felt safe or secluded enough to camp out, anyone have any places they stop in the area?

Am I right in assuming you're using the Trans-Pennine Trail from Hornsea-Hull, and the Yorkshire Wolds Way from Hessle-northbound?
