Re: Oldest bit of kit you own - and still use.
Pair of crampons I bought when is was 19, so 33 years old (that’s shocking!) and a helly h top I found in a hedge in the wye valley 27 years ago - now used for diy and gardening.
Do you ever read what you wrote and thought mmm...what happened? I still think I’m 19

Re: Camera Phones (Sorry)
iPhone SE here. Really like it because it’s small and iPhones photo editing to crop, change exposure, contrast etc is really quick to use. I no longer carry a digi cam because the phones so good. iPhone no longer provide updates for the SE, but at the end of the day I don’t expect jpgs to become an ...

A collective noun
There’s an article in the guardian today about the Rough Stuff Fellowship- arguably an ethos many of us subscribe to and live by when we escape on two wheels. It got me thinking (prompted by some recent posts) we get great enjoyment being individuals and part of collective, where shared experience, ...

Nice one summittoppler. All I managed was a walk across b&qs carpark in Rhyl today. Not out of my comfort zone... but still exciting 💨 For any of you storm chasers out there. From experience... it’s not type two fun.. it’s more a case of being thankful for surviving a stupid idea.. just saying.....

Guessing you’ve checked out Ride the Clwyds website? Denbighshire AONB unit added some permissive bridleways specifically to link up existing bike routes.

When you passing through Stu?
The OD path ran through our garden till we had legally diverted about 5 years ago. If you need a place to pitch and have a shower, we’re about 6 miles south of Prestatyn.

Re: FS: Tarp / shelter anyone? SOLD
Hi Stu
Interested to know what make of tarp it is you just sold?
Is it a flat tarp with a beak, or does it have a cat ridge line?
It’s the type of setup I was trying to achieve, but found the R1G 3.5 too small and the 7 the wrong shape.

For our family summer hols, we’re treating our girls to two weeks adventuring through the Dolomites ( they don’t know what’s ahead of them  plenty of chocolate will be packed).. Hi Try the Upton Map Shop. Their website will give a list of what they stock. If you ever get a chance to call in it’s worth it just to flick through the guide books and maps and check out places you’ve thought about visiting. It’s the outdoors person equivalent of a record aficionado flicking throu...
