Roof Racks and Tow Bars – Declare as Car Modification
Exactly as per my post in STW, but for those who don't frequent: Following a bit of an unfortunate event at the weekend I have been having discussions with my insurance company about whether my roof rack and roof mounted cycle carriers are car modifications or merely accessories. Apparently this arg...

To be fair, I think that they probably found it that way rather than tore down the wall themselves (grass growing between the rocks). It is a sub standard pit though.restlessshawn wrote:It's not even a good firepitRay Young wrote:Fire pit rocks obviously taken from the dry stone wall. What absolute dickheads.

Shimano have had leaky pistons for years now, not just on there cheaper models but even my xt ones. Magura mt5 are available for £65 an end at the moment. Where from? Does anyone have experience of the MT2? they're £68 for a full set on eBay. Alpinetrek. But they appear to have cleared their stock ...

Re: Hooped Bivis (That don't weigh a ton)...
I often think that when people think they'd like a hooped bivvy ... what they actually want is a Lunar Solo. Not me, I have a similarly designed tarp-tent. The hooped bivi is that uber-niche shelter between tarp-tent and bivi bag. Plus, the replacement of the now retired lunar solo still hasn't mat...

Does anyone else have issues viewing the whole of some of the photos (usually Flickr I think)? I can see a zoomed in portion of the picture in the thread but if I touch it I get directed to a black screen in Flickr. Not sure what is going on.

No idea what the 29er 100mm Slide is like but have been very happy with my Xfusion Sweep. Maybe worth looking into as xfusion appear to be extremely competitively priced compared to the likes of rockshox or fox.

Just when I give up waiting it appears that the new version of the luna solo is available. Not sure what has changed? Anyway, ships too late to be any good to me for the time being. If anyone gets any experience with it then please let me know. Cheers.

Not totally convinced I want one but have run out of time waiting for 6 moons to release their updated luna solo. Don't want anything too exotic. Say around 1.5*2.5 meters, 300g and £30. May move on price but that's the kind of level I am looking at. Will also need it with me within the next 2 weeks...

Full frame clean and degrease, 1st ever fork seal/oil change, new headset bearings, check bottom bracket bearings, change 2x chainring for 1x, put on new 11 speed cassette, mech and shifter. Been a quite enjoyable day outside with football in the background and the kids mucking about in the garden.
