Re: What's the weekend got in store?

"No Steve, the Black Mountain and the Black Mountains are two different places". Saw that coming  . Reminds me that I still have on my bucket list a route including Lord Hereford's Knob, Three Cocks, and, er, Fan-y-Big. But not this weekend admittedly. Maybe November if anyone fancies it. Oh ...

Wanted 11 speed 26” wheel

I’m after a 11 speed rear wheel for my boys bike,
135mm QR, XD driver disk :-bd

Any one got anything suitable? I’ve some nice Sram 11 speed hardware kicking about and it seems a shame not to use it.

Re: SRAM mech compatability

I can adjust it so it goes up ok-ish but then not down and when it does it takes three changes before it moves at all. Likewise down ok but not up smoothly. Fingers crossed the new mech sorts it. Never had a problem like this before I had a similar problem with my rival shifter, after trying new ca...

pull 18" out of the hole and rest the bike on top of the crosspiece. I like the idea, any particular reason for poplars?

I’m in north Devon atm, without the bike. Can’t complain really I was here the week before and had a good run around the B150 course. Saturday will be spent keeping family happy, Sunday driving home and perhaps watching MotoGP. Unlikely to get out Monday either I’m angling for a pass next weekend I’...

Re: waterproofing dynamo charging set ups?

I’ve found the weakest link to be the cashe battery used. One thing I now do is to give them a good blast of WD40 or similar into all the entry points such as the USB ports, seems to be working. Batteries live in the left pocket of my revelate tangle with wires fed through the hose port (drip looped...

I looked at the zpaks stuff but just couldn’t justify the extra over the deschutes, I’ve been very happy with it.

Dave if you want to test drive the deschutes I’m in north Devon until the weekend, welcome to borrow it, you might have to leave the cutthroat as surety though

I’d like to add smooth lube as recommended by our lessed bleeder, cheap as chips given how long it lasts. One decent application took me through Spain on the C2C. Superb stuff.
