Re: FS: Lauf TR Boost fork - brand new

Hi, there are 2 years left to run on my 7 year warranty. However, that's not transferrable to any subsequent owner.
https://www.laufcycling.com/warranty

But if a manufacturing defect was discovered soon after installation, then I'm sure we could come to an arrangement.

Re: Veloviewer map - explorer tiles

Hi Shaf,

This is how I bagged that square - with a walk up from Marsden:
https://www.strava.com/activities/2172531740

It involved a bit of an easy scramble up a steep bank, followed by a there-and-back stroll across some typical Peaks moorland.

HTH,

No problem posting to Spain. I'll price it up tomorrow and drop you a PM.

Re: Veloviewer map - explorer tiles

bribing a kid on a bike with haribo to show me round his dad's land. 😁 Top notch exploring ! The amount of times to get to the 100 SQ level is nuts, just look at those guys cluster numbers Yeah, I started plotting the outline of the square I'd need to compete at that level, and it's a mind blowing ...

Re: Veloviewer map - explorer tiles

Pete, not sure if it counts if you were on a tandem - I mean there's no evidence you did it under your own steam. Could have been the other rider doing all the work.....  Steve, you'll just have to trust me that riding the tandem gives me a significant disadvantage over my solo. I would ...

Re: Veloviewer map - explorer tiles

A lovely hilly tandem ride from Sheffield this morning was the latest piece of the jigsaw - and it's got me to 54x54: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50097240221_f4299758f7_b.jpg I can get to 55 with just 2 more rides, but after that it's back to the long haul of laying the groundwork for the ne...

Re: Veloviewer map - explorer tiles

OK, here's a real VV ethics question - if you put in at Liverpool on a rising tide and ticked off the squares in the middle of the channel is that under your own power? Damn you Bob! I'm saying it counts. No engines involved. https://assets.theforum365.com/emoticons/shant.png For me, as long ...

Re: Veloviewer map - explorer tiles

Not sure I understand the second point - how else would you enter a tile? Drive to the tile, get out of the car, walk round the car recording, get back in the car and drive home. The self powered activity must start outside the square to be collected. Yes, as Sean said. If you've got 1 isolated til...

Re: Veloviewer map - explorer tiles

I assume it’s cheating if your rides don’t start from home? Not cheating - unless you've decided to apply the 'From Home' rule yourself. My personal rules for a contributing activity are: * Self-powered activity (cycle, walk, climb, paddle, swim). * Enter the tile from another tile. Others elect to...
