Re: Backcounty 3000 bivy: thoughts?

Or this https://www.outdoorline.sk/en/tents/six ... pe-trekker which is apparently longer but shallower than Lunar. Then save weight (and liklihood/urge to use for/mid the bb200) by just taking a quilt/sleeping bag and leaving the mat behind...

ATK, yes I'm still trying to buy non-china produce where appropriate. The boots are from China but appear to have a massive blurb on the Arcteryx website about thier factory ethics and background (they were replacements as I doubt I could afford originals/rrp by them).

Re: Backcounty 3000 bivy: thoughts?

I'm not convinced but I'm probably not the best person to ask about a bivvy bag as I've only used one (on its own that is) a few times. I've got a Rab Ascent https://www.inglesport.com/product/rab-ascent-bivi/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw1ouKBhC5ARIsAHXNMI-MUqXW8TOhNeZH4lDlQlGqnczF4sWO_LsANfVMgFOsvqjetRwpoMQaAoV...

To be honest the dogs done more damage on that front. He managed to split the end of his tail open and has left blood whacks around the place. Thanks Bob... BOAT = Landslide, if you've done 1.8kph up it and Paul did about 1mph up it... Then its more than likely, still unrideable by myself. Paul is probably right in thinking it's only the top half thats been cleaned and tarmac'd (and I doubt I could ride up a 35% anyway if it was smooth and...

Good point Stu, I never thought of it like that. Certainly seem to be doing some good work in keeping roads open 'rideable' are v useful to the mtb community. They talk about 'green roads'... Is this just simply public byways or is there alot more to it... I wonder

Bamford Clough: green roads, permitted byways and what's taken to keep em open

This might not interest many, but recently a mate of mine sent me a message that Bamford Clough had been cleaned up and tamac'd. What's that I asked, and upon investigation realised it's this little beauty in the Peaks. https://i.imgur.com/yPcbpP6.jpg https://i.imgur.com/WAQQ178.jpg https://i.imgur....
