Re: Any Pinnacle Ramin 3+ owners?

I had one as a second owner. It was lovely. Only sold it to ensure I could build the SC Highball. Hoprocker who I bought it off originally is the one that bought the frame back. Buy it and ride it. It's lovely. I can't say I miss it but it equally never missed a beat. Just be aware that mech hangers...

Thanks. Sounds a plan. Been looking at Sportpursuit and I doubt I'd find one there. Thanks again both.

Re: Suggest me a backpack to replace this?

Thanks Simon. Sounds daft (especially after me saying I wanted to grab him a gift/bag) but that's probably above my budget and would leave him with less pockets than currently.

Looks like that is one big picture. Sorry!

Edit: Image remastered and 3mb reduced. Slimline is better. The tubing sn't going into the Adidas bag but into it's own Philips device holdall.

Suggest me a backpack to replace this?

Sorry for being so 'needy' again. But, if anyone can then Shirley, the BB community can. This is one of my mates/client and his backpack. I've already gotten permission that I'd like to replace his backpack (pictured). Please can someone suggest me something with plenty of pockets. Maybe a couple of...

Re: Could I have explained myself better (on a cyclist hate thread)?

Such an amazing analogy. I decided that my first response was enough as it's no point discussing (trying not to use the word 'debate' or 'argue') with low value people. I looked at the thread briefly after I opened this one but didn't bother replying to any of the further comments. Have decided it's...

Re: Recommend me a decent stills camera

I keep thinking about a bikepacking camera and then realise my phone has that covered. I have a Panasonic TZ70 (iirc) tbh I'm not even sure where it is... probably in the motorhome... I just find it's something else to think about, charge, pack (somewhere it's easily accessible) ... then it's not i...

Re: Recommend me a decent stills camera

Shaf I’ve got an Olympus TG-5 which I rate highly as a bikepacking camera. The Sweary Divide was shot using it, probably not the best advert, but it’s like new and has survived countless trips and drops. I would think you could get one quite cheap second hand. If not I’ve got a Canon S90 somewhere ...

Re: Recommend me a decent stills camera

I got all excited at seeing that second hand site for cameras. Then realised it's an older thread and that Faustus had actually bought new to make the processing much easier. All I want to really do is snap a buzzard or few. Maybe one of them tiny birds that shoot off before you get closer enough fo...

Re: Pain and suffering

Sometimes people look at me funny about my full length Singletracks (yes, I got another pair ebay special and it's the older versions again) even in summer. I'd argue that's when they're needed. There's a section on the NorthPeaks100 that I reckon the farmer has purposely encouraged the (is it the r...

Nice one. Lovely things them hedgehogs. I walked back from the quite lanes in Scunthorpe a month or so ago. Long walk. Saw a hedgehog on the side of the road but in the grass. Wonderful encounters.

Re: Could I have explained myself better (on a cyclist hate thread)?

To be fair. I just read a few more posts on there. It's quite amusing really what people in the metal box feel lol. cos they don't actually know how to be hard enough to cycle.

Re: Could I have explained myself better (on a cyclist hate thread)?

I left a facebook group because of the anti-cyclists on the road rhetoric - the irony being that it was a MTB group. Same. I left another forum due to some form of hate they were displaying. Very unusual indeed what people write behind the computer screens!! In fact after I saw that (and one of the...

Re: Could I have explained myself better (on a cyclist hate thread)?

Very interesting input from everyone. Yes, maybe a bit of tongue in cheek might make people reflect (or not) more appropriately. Thankfully I didn't use the '2 abreast is best' card. Some people just don't get it!

Could I have explained myself better (on a cyclist hate thread)?

I'm always up for constructive criticism but equally aware that some people are just nasty. Went over to the Lexus forum to check a couple things and came across a thread glorifying chucking cyclists into ditches. They actually found it funny. I tried to add a post that might or might not help educa...

These I think. https://7mesh.com/products/mens-mk3-half-short

I would definitely probably size up but maybe the ones I have are just right. Just feel that if I had gone up there would be less stretch and tugging at em to get em on!

Re: Merino padded shorts

Vulpine (in my estimation) would have been cheap stuff. I have the Lusso (two pairs) and a set of 7Mesh. All are really good but the quality of the 7Mesh I reckon is even better than the Lusso. Lusso are the older version so Italian made chamoise inside. Bit expensive but I would definitely buy agai...

Very good life out of that there neglected chain Woodsmith. What lube are you using. I'll assume an oil based that you regularly just top up and wipe down!
