Massively overkill, but have you looked at PVD http://www.peterverdone.com/ and the modular frame jigs he makes and uses?

Otherwise, you can definitely get screw in corners for use in large display boards (might be what you showed above)

Hg will take 12 speed just not a shimano 12 speed casette # more effing standards no one asked for I have 12 speed on an hope pro 2 for example and that is from 9 speed days Road.casetted and frehubs are a bit wider (1.> mm iirc) so you need a spacer for a mtb casette on road wheels and a road wont...
