Re: Paragon dropouts UK?

It's definitely worth dropping an email to Peter at (ceeway.com) as mentioned by Sean.
He keeps a lot of stock that isn't listed, and reguarly orders things in from Paragon, so might be able to add some to an order or something.

Replacement fork for 2016 Longitude?

Hi all,
I've got a 2016 Longitude, and as mentioned by Stu in his review, I'm finding the alu fork pretty rough now I'm riding it more.

Anyone seen anything that can replace it? I'd prefer to keep the anything cage mounts, and rigid.

Cheers,
Tom

Rich3rd kindly sent me the files and now I have my 3d printer set up, I can confirm that this is excellent: https://i.imgur.com/ceZ7h2Cb.jpg Printed upside down with some support material, so took a bit of light sanding to make it smooth. If anyone is struggling for somewhere to get it printed, let ...

And dropped off my new Lanshan 1, in about a week from aliexpress. Not the two person tent to take the dog away, but needed something for some mini-touring planned for later in the year. https://i.imgur.com/Ixxa81j.jpg Pole extender also ordered, and a footprint on the way. Re: Lightweight shelter for dogpacking?

Haven't tried it yet, but I'm hoping a layer of Tyvek INSIDE the groundsheet will prevent our mutt's claws from making a mess of it. This is a good idea, and something I should've thought of. Will give it a try once I've decided on a tent! Bit OT but what are you doing about a sleeping bag for the ...

Lightweight shelter for dogpacking?

Hi all, I'm hoping to start taking my dog out with me for longer rides, and need to find a shelter for him and me. He's quite a large dog, so the one person tarp tents like the Lunar Solo appear to be out. Essentially the requirements come to: Dog must be inside with me and contained, so I don't hav...

And delivered a oneup components EDC pump, doesn’t sound very exciting but it’s clever. Hidden inside the pump handle is a multi tool, chain tool, tyre lever, split link tool and also a tubeless tyre plug tool. It’s a bit like a Russian doll for when it hits the fan. Seems extremely well made and cu...

Finishing work a bit early (well, I started early to account for it) and then up to Kendal for the Film Festival.
It's not being outside, but it's watching films that make me want to be outside more, so I'll call that a win. I'll try and count how many of them involve fires.

Well, this (and the other packrafting threads) have inspired me to buy the Packrafting book and I'm watching with great interest for the MYOG packraft. As for access, there's plenty of people who's names I recognise on here from my paddling days so I suspect that any information that I have will be ...

I recently bought one of these: http://www.singerco.com/products/2118/4411-heavy-duty

Been really happy with it. Not particularly tested the 'heavy duty' aspect yet, but it certainly looks and feels like it'll do the job.

Re: SPOT Tracker Renewal Fees - Being Gouged?

I feel quite relieved that I'm able to save myself both the expense and stress of ownership, by leaving mine in the box high on a shelf :-bd I went one better, after seeing how much the annual fee was I decided not to even buy one. Pretty much my opinion too. Not that I've done much (any) stuff tha...

Pretty straightforward with a sewing machine and some velcro.

I made this with no sewing experience after buying myself a machine:

It's a saddle bag, but it'd actually work better as a standalone bag.

Re: Coast to Coast Bikejor style

Been looking at doing something like this (though probably shorter trips) with my dog, what attachment system are you using? I've never bikejoured before, and usually go with an elastic type lead around the headtube, but looks like you're using one of the 'pole' things? FWIW, I've had good experienc...

3D Printed Maxle Stand

Hi all, Was looking for a stand to hold my bikes in my van. Wanted just the fork axle clamp style, but couldn't find anywhere that sold just the part (though they do exist, I'm sure). So I designed and 3d printed one. Current version has survived a 2 hour trip in the back of my van (unlike the earli...

It's sunny, there's a bit of wind for the kite and I got my Longitude's tyres to go up tubeless and stay up overnight.

And I've plotted a route extension to a local loop that I have no idea how it will ride. Ideal weekend exploring.

I bought the 2016 Longitude last month How are you finding the aluminium fork? When I had one on test, I found it very, very rigid ... lovely bike otherwise.
