Re: Stooge mk4

I've a Mk4 but i'm only two short wet rides in so too early to comment really. I did have to move my hook up in the garage as its easily the longest bike i own though.

20% off at Evans, makes the Arkose D3 under £1000 after topcashback. I'm hoping I can get cyclescheme vouchers in time as I don't really NEED a new bike

Re: 2 wheeled adventure of a different kind.

I spent quite a long while looking at CT90 and CT110's but they were generally old and expensive to get bits for. Moved onto Honda Innova's as they're 125cc fuel injected and have better brakes/suspension. I ended up buying a Beta Alp 200 about a month ago with the intention of doing classic trials/...

I have one but haven't ridden it yet and don't have anything interesting locally to point it down to test, so need to take it somewhere.

Re: MSR Trailshot Woes - fixed?

I've noticed with mine it doesn't like the filter clamp nut done too tight. If I back it off a little it works fine but back it off to far and the filter pops out. So slightly loose with a gentle squeeze to pump works best.

Ghyllside cycles have a salsa deadwood frame in the window 1600 down from 2700. Its a sand sort of colour but not sure on size.

Re: Size up, or down?

As far as Giant go, one of the funnest bike's I've ridden in a long time https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48015388611_6e9cfc37b1.jpg 20190605_212441 by Escape Goat , on Flickr Don't get me wrong i had many a good ride on my defy. Re: Size up, or down?

I'm 5'10 and have found similar with most brands. The only road bike I've had was a Giant Defy who tend to do intermediate sizes. I was right in the middle of the range and it fit/felt good from the off. I've since moved onto a GT Grade size 56 and even with a dropper (inline post) and a 80mm 25° ri...

Depends what spec the road bike is, how worn it is and how much will transfer to the new frame and forks? I'd probably sell it whole.

I voted no as they just don't appeal to me. I find my 29 x 3 hard enough going at times and have started to down size to 2.6's but after reading your response's and if you think you could move it on without losing to much then there really isn't a lot to lose, and you'll at least get an experience o...

WTD: Hope 15mm Adapters or 29 front wheel

Hi All,

I'm after either some Hope 15mm hub adapters or a 100 x 15 29+ front wheel if anyone has anything?

I wouldn't say no to some Geoff bars either if anyone isn't getting on with theirs.

Thanks,

Rob

Re: Water Filtration Help

I was going to ask for a review of this but I think I know the answer. It's a lot heavier and takes 3x longer than an MSR trailshot and the plastic looks a bit fragile. But i'd guess better filtration and longer filter life. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1X-Pure-Easy-Water-Filter-Purifier-Cleaner-0-1-2...

Any Kayaker's? Newbie tips wanted

I'm sure there's a few? I've recently bought a used Perception Prodigy II tandem touring kayak. I've not had it out on the water yet but we took the same boat out in Rursee on holiday. We really struggled to keep it going in a straight line but we'll keep practising. I'm looking for some general adv...

I've had/got tubeless knards on rabbit holes with the split tube method. I used schwalbe tubes from crc. It can be a little fiddly changing tyres in the future but is do-able.

Re: Campervan mattress

We have a Vango comfort 10 double, for £100. We've just done a 2 week trip around Germany with it, slept well enough but we've started to find that it needs topping up every day now. Neither of us have had back issues though. https://www.decathlon.co.uk/vango-comfort-10-double-camping-mattress-id_85...
