TEKNOLOJI!

i HAVE BRAIN INJURIES AND HAVE LOST THE MAJORITY OF SKILLS I HAD BEFORE THE SMASH. At school, I did occasionally deign to attend, a few of us didn't want P.E. No interest in cheese rolling and the like. A couple of good teachers took a group, 8 of us, out and about to do "Orienteering" wit...

Yeah, I know... Heavy and ungainly. I love it! Surly ECR with 29'er wheels. Arrived on Friday and I've been sitting, watching it, in my living room, and "Mindplanning" a few trips in the, hopefully not too distant, future.

Re: Too Fat to Bivi!

Thanks for the responses. Even with the mat outside I'm just too fat for the Hunka XL. The Akto is great but I'm going "Stir Crazy" so newtoy gunting is going round my head.

Keep 'em coming.

Too Fat to Bivi!

Couldn't get my "Personal Diameter" into a Hunka XL so have to look for alternatives. It's not urgent, I'm on the "High Risk, do not pass Go..... Etc" list but, for future plans. What tent, without spending shedloads, should I look for? Waterproof and Sturdy are important, PACK S...

Re: If you had ...

I'm in Lancaster so I'd head out the door on the bike. Over to Kirkby Stephen and up towards County Durham. Explore in a North and West direction and then back down to the Lake district for the pleasure of being there. I'd try not to plan distances, rather have the time to stay in one bit as long as...

Re: Bargain Alert Thread

Evans are selling an On Guard gold secure cable lock half price at £24.08. My insurance specifies a gold secure lock incase of theft so this is a cheap extra. Not for travelling but fine at home or around vehicles. I use these. Locked a bike to a ring embedded in the wall of my house. Scrotes still...

Re: BareBones Fatfighters - The weigh in

I'll do my "weigh in" on a Wednesdidydidooday evening and post on a Thursday. No point in me recording in the first 3 days so it'll be the 11th when I post. I do have a feeling that I'm shedding a tiny gram, or two, already so I'm hoping for a kg lost at least from the start on New Year's ...

Re: Bivvy a Month 2017.

I've not done a Solo Wild camp/Bivvy since I was 15 years old, 1977, and only just starting to get some courage to try things myself. I might be doing it on a really basic level but I am going to try for this challenge. Living in Lancaster I'm close to the Trough of Bowland and not too far South of ...

'Only the one tube of Pringles' . Once you pop you just can't stop. The paprika ones are the worst for that. Enormous fat content of course, it's a wonder they don't just drip off the plate. They're 2-4-1 round the corner at the moment.. arg.. I was going to go without but the local "Wil...

I'm the Lardiest I've ever been at 5' 8" tall and 22.4 stones! Exercise is limited with disabilities being variable, I'll do it from 1st January and aim for a slow, but steady, weight drop. My eventual target is 12.5 stone so it's a BIG challenge. When I had the Brain Injury accident I weighed ...

Re: Double Sleeping bag or quilt

Slightly off topic here... I am Wider than I am High, 5' 8" high so you can figure that 120kg means a struggle in most sleeping bags!
Any recommendations for a, not Mummy style, sleeping bag that is 3 or 4 seasons and not too vast to load on my bike?
