enjoyed that.

i dont ride a fat bike, but i do ride a 29+ bike. main reason is that the strength and support from a large tyre/wider rim works fantastic with a much heavier rider like myself.

a friend in the dales mentioned it. and his wife works for the national trust.

i have been doing loads of local rides, most within 5 miles of home. managed 120 miles this week.

dont really like to talk about it, but has anyone caught it? i dont know if i have but i have laid up at home with something that started on friday. started with a banging head, and proper tender aching joints. went home and went to bed. saturday just felt wiped out so slept most off it. never cough...

drop the saddle a couple of inch, and add a couple of inch to the steerer and mayby they would be comfy.

I went for a fox speed frame helmet in the end. fits nice on my melon

i have done ok getting out, up to a 950 miles for the year. just very wet windy miles.
in all the years i have ridden, this has been the wetest and windiest.

if you were to mark a map with the furthest east, north and western points on the HT550 route, would it be a decent route to do as a tour using road to cut out the roughest and hike a bike sections? I have done the WHW as a tour, so that is fine, I have done the stuff from bridge of balgie round loc...
