Re: stuck in a repetetive cycle.

A lot is justified through commuting to work, it saves me £8 a day so adds up quite quick! Plus the above

that sentence is my saving grace. 35 years of cycle commuting means that the funds for purchases are always easy to find.... :|
not running a car is good too.

I love Colin...........every time I come up with a stupid idea, to buy a stupid unsuitable bike, he pops up with the sensible reason I should not make such purchases.

good idea or bad.

cant get the urge for a fat bike out of my head. the trek farley 9.6 has grabbed my attention.
some carbon bikes used to come with a upper weight limit, is this still the case?

only ever owned 2 bikes at once. 1 for touring/road and 1 for offroad riding.
tried to get away with one, but it is too much faff, swapping tyres, guards on and off. 2 is perfect.

on every forum, every winter, there is a few 'what winter footwear' thread. the list of winter boots is now pretty good. warm, yes. waterproof, debatable, both, never. i have owned a fair few different ones over the years. today, i rode 15 miles to work, in a deluge, wearing a pair of scuffs neopren...
