Re: BareBones Fatfighters - The weigh in

I wasn't in this one but I went from 14.5 to 11.10 just before the festivities began. But I'm now 12.4 lol I'll be back to the other side of 12 soon hopefully.

Re: Two Zero One Eight plans . . .

To be fair, I’d just be happy if it turns out to be less sub standard than this year was. I really need to pull my head out of my arse and get out there and remember how much I love being out. We’ll see. Hopefully my hip is now fixed and fingers crossed (not literally) I don't need surgery o...

Re: post a 'inspire me' photo please.

Tony I've no pix to inspire as I've been looking to inspire myself. But my finger splint comes off next week after 8 weeks and I will be fine to ride after Christmas. I've just had two weeks in the fire service rehabilitation unit and it turns out my back pain linked to my leg by the physio was actu...

Re: Android mapping app

I've still got a version of mmtracker running on my android it allows me to view the memory map maps I bought years ago after I tweaked the copyright label. I think it's been shut down now though

Re: The price of stuff.

I've got a Jones spaceframe and I've got a ramin plus. One expensive (for me a once in a lifetime thing) and one not expensive by modern mtb standards Both ride lovely, similar and different, is the Jones x times better than the ramin, no. But it's bloody lovely and makes me smile just looking at it...

Re: Bikepacking evening wear? Jacket gilet down or synthetic

Cheers all I've just walked around gooutdoors and ended up with a OEX Men's Zenon Ultra LT Down Jacket. Very light and packable which is important with my set up. And it was a sensible price I could justify. It Should be warm and it's meant to shrug off water but tbh it won't get tested it's merely ...

Bikepacking evening wear? Jacket gilet down or synthetic

I'm pretty much sorted on the kit I need but I'm just not sure on what to take for the evening whilst sat gassing and drinking whisky :) I've a thin pair of water resistant trousers and a hat, but jacket wise I'm thinking insulated jacket or gilet. to go with my shell cycling jacket. Ideally warm an...

Re: Have I just bought the best bikepacking bike in the worl

I actually really wanted a pine mountain as it took me back to my youth and almost ordered one but for a couple of reasons ended up with the ramin. Bargain price you got the marin for though ;) has it had the fork recall done btw as I think they all needed the forks swapping I'm presuming it has fro...
