Only just come across this after john mentioned it on a facebook thread , gutted ive missed the boat :( .. will have to just go and ride for a few days ... cant even bivi as just reseeded the grass !

yep done a few with that little gadget, works ok , just make sure the receiving cylinder is very cold, it takes the gas better :) .. time to save a few quid

yep , will be there on the gravel bike with 42mm tyres, not done it for the last 2 years but always a great turnout and ride, Im looking forward to it but dont think my legs are as havent ridden in 2 weeks , so its gonna hurt :grin:

@ jaminb Is this required for the WRT ?? ..if so i can offer a lift as heading from Birmingham , although its looking like i may be doing the lite version wrt only now and heading back to brum on the sunday afternoon ...

How long a route are you looking for? Not finally ridden my own gravel extravaganza route yet as been laid up with a kidney stone :sad: Maybe 60 - 120 miles, ill be riding a good 2 days possibly 3 .... found a couple of routes , the Galloway gallop has 2 routes of varying distance , may combine those

I'd be doubtful about doing it on a gravel bike in its entirety so maybe do selected double track high...

Have a few days off next month, fancy taking the gravel bike to scotland and galloway looks like it could be suitable for the bike and camping gear :)

700c with 40mm Nanos. I don't have any 650b wheels to try on it, but can ping you some photos when the forksarrive if you like? yeah ping away :) ... ive got a set of 40mm nanos as well on 700c, the maxis wouldnt fit on 650 wheels , but ive just picked up some strava clements at 42mm, they fit fine...

i bought some 2 inch maxxis re fuse tyres in 650b size and have zero clearance on my forks :(

As luck would have it, I found a set of eBay Chinese forks v similar to the kinesis ones only with an alloy steerer and less than half the price at 40 quid. Unlikely anyone else is in the lookout, but they have a few more sets as well as thru axle and full carbon ones - https://rover.ebay.com/rover...
